It is a God's gift to be a story teller. I accidentally ran into this video while looking for something to listen to while doing my walking workout. I instantly surrendered to his story telling. His explanation is so good that after the workout and the story, I felt like I had watched a video. My workouts are normally tied to time, but now it is tied to the the end of stories. Pranam, continue this great work.

Great example of Dharmavyadha. he lived by the teachings of Bhagavad Gita, Chapter 3, Verse 35, where Lord Krishna says that it is better to perform one’s prescribed duties, even if it has some faults in it, rather than performing someone else’s duty perfectly. श्रेयान्स्वधर्मो विगुण: परधर्मात्स्वनुष्ठितात् | स्वधर्मे निधनं श्रेय: परधर्मो भयावह: || 35||

So the path to liberation is through karma. The outcomes of our karma is determined by our attitude towards it. Selflessness is the highest ideal. In the ultimate analysis there is no substance to self. Self did not even create itself. It just exists. It just is. And every observable fact about this physical universe is proof for the existence of God, from whom it sprang to be and into whom it all withdraws.

It was said that many things were inserted in the Ithihasas, Puranas etc by vested interests and the storey of Dharmavyadha is one of them. And every storey teller added his / her own flavour according to the situation giving rise to differences even to the initial fraud insertion. For example the lady is supposed to serve her hubby (not the entire family), once it is crane, once it's a crow, it is not fight among the birds but dropping made Kowshika to look at the bird makes it die etc. Yet Dharmavyadha supposed to be very rich so rich his parents were found to be in golden beds. But none of the tellers tried to find the Truth: the storey should not have come from Vyasa the knower of Vedas which prohibit eating meat in any form leave alone butchering.
