Either you are Sikh or looking to learn/understand Sikhi or wish to contribute something or have a genuine questions? Fine! If not ... We respect all faiths, religions (which hinduism is not really), its an amalgamation of worshipping many different 'gods' like paganism under the guise of one religion to facilitate a hierarchical structure, with a controlling elite. Regardless of this still respected like we respect all religion/faith/humanity but know this well, be under no illusion - Sikhi is separate and distinct. Has nothing to do with the sanatan dharm. We, Sikhs only worship The "One' True Supreme Being. This is the understanding our 'True' Gurus have imparted to us. For us there is only the 'One' path set out by our Gurus. This lineage in an unbroken one from the1st Guru - 10th Guru. The 11th being 'The True Guru' evermore. There are.many hindus coming on this channel asking very rude questions or attempting to associate Sikhs with Hindus in someway. It is pathetic and disgenuine to try and make associations. A great Gursikh put it to me like this… The great history and stories of Sikhi inspires us to live and practice like Sikhs (ie waking up early, reciting Naam, Seva, Simran, SANGAT, SANGAT, SANGAT of gursikhs) Reciting Naam gets the Naam to purify our minds, which gives rise to faith in our Guru/Gurbani, which allows Naam to settle. Finally once we have recited enough Naam, relative to how much Karam to be erased through recitation and that all important GURPARSAAD, only then does GuruJi bless his Sikh with Atam rass. So the simple answer is Yes, only if it inspires you to live like the great Sikhs of old. Otherwise watching videos without the appropriate action will lead you to nowhere and DRY knowledge of Guru’s teachings. Hope this helps. PS if you’re struggling, ARDAAS, ARDAAS, ARDAAS.

However, I’m afraid that this line of logic will bring you to a place of ‘having a deal with GuruJi’ ie I have X Karam and I have recited X amount of Naam, therefore my Karam should be erased. This line of reasoning will not bring out the sweetness of GuruJi. Let’s look at it from a different angle, what if the amount of Karam to be erased will take 3 life times or hundred lifetimes , would you still pursue this endeavour? Although Maharaj can get rid of Karam in an instant most people would say that 3 lifetimes is not a fair deal, never mind 100. Yet if you try and fall in love with your Guru, Then you would happily do a 1000 just as long they would never leave you. Can you see the difference? One way to get the happiness of GuruJi is to try and fall in love with what makes them happy as mentioned by @goalee7663, Rehit is a great place to start. Read Bhai Vir Singh’s books in English/Punjabi. Find the most Boosted Gursikhs you can find and do their sangat. I’ve already said too much, you have to cultivate a personal relationship with GuruJi and when you are struggling remember 2 things, Sangat and Ardaas.

@@thesingh588 apart from worshiping a formless God, literally everything he has described is an appropriation of the ancient Hindu rituals performed on Dushera but this guy is making out that Guru Gobind Singh started a new tradition and that 'other communities' i.e.: Hindus were doing totally different things on Dushera (i.e doing Ramalila). Anointing weapons = Ayudha Puja (a.k.a Sashtra Puja). Offering respect to horses = Ashva Puja. Reciting the Chandi-d-var = This text is a re-telling of an older Sanskrit text called Devi Mahatmyam (a.k.a. Chadipath) which is recited throughout Navratri/Dushera. The Procession following the worship of weapons = Simholangana - an ritual where Kings performed the first military parade after camping during the rains...On Dushera they took the army to cross (alanghana) of the boundry (Sima) of the town/city.

The difference between a Hindu and a Sikh is that Hindus worship everything from rats to trees and mountains to even gardening equipment whereas a Sikhs loyalties lie with his shastar, Khalsa and akaal purakh and we respect our horses/vehicles. You can’t say we’re appropriating your religion when one it isn’t a religion and two we reject most of your cultural practises. Guru gobhind Singh ji themeselves even denounce many of the Hindu gods. Vedic culture contains many different religions within it some are even cannibals

Edit: Also all dharma comes within Sanatan Dharma. Sanatan Dharma is like science. If you ask someone "define science". He will say "study of matter and it's properties"(Dharma pursued with or without artha, kama, moksha/Mukti/Nirvana/kaivalya is Sanatan Dharma). So in this example science is Sanatan dharma. But we have multiple branches within science. Botony(shiavism), Zoology(Jainism), physics(Sikhism), chemistry(Vaishnavism) etc.

There is not one illegal activity that these guys havent done..Drugs, alcohol, hawala, female foeticide till Dateee via illelag ultrasound labs owned by them, running coaching centres and issuing fake letters to send students to Canada/AUS and minting money which is then invested in real estate in other Indian states making them billionaires.. Now they are hand in hand with Christian missionaries in North Punjab to promote conversion among poor class. Infact Hindu and Sikhi groups are now working together to bring people back to their original beleif systems. Whole urban economy is managed by Punjabi Hindus who are more forward looking and practical to be honest...phew. Waheguruji Mehar Karo... Also we Have already lost Nankana Sahib.
