Imo, there may have been a second spinosaurus cloned on Nublar but perhaps it was based off an updated genetic sequence (using more accurate data) to create a more realistic version of the animal. I'd also like to think the original spino/the one in camp Cretaceous was more along the lines of a "monster" using very limited data and other DNA to fill in the gaps (hence the hyper aggression and strange monstrous appearance). Maybe one day we'll get to see if..... Something has survived?

I think there is some secret uncanon lore in JWA that can be found. The indoraptor gen 2 for an example, is a confirmed creature in a cut content of fallen kingdom. What’s to say this second Spinosaurus doesn’t look like the Spinosaurus gen 2. Allosaurus gen 1 and two actually exist, and while these are a bit obvious, there may be other dinosaurs from JWA that might be canon.

I think this is bit reaching. This could also be Suchomimus since they did kinda have elongated spine (no sail though) It could also be multiple remains of different species. If there was a Spinosaurus on Nublar, it would have been a very popular attraction and territorial.

My thing is in the franchise the Spinosaurus is a apex predator, how the hell did it fall into extinction? I say if anything it would have made an impact on the biology of the island way before it began to erupt. It might have even out compete Rexy for food had they not cross paths.

If this skeleton from the VR game is the second Spinosaurus, it could explain why it died. If the Skeleton on Main Street is any indication, this second Spino would have been a lot smaller and potentially a lot weaker than its Isla Sorner counterpart. The JP3 Spino was so big and tuff that it could take on a T-Rex and risked disrupting the ecosystem on Site B. But a smaller, less powerful, version of the animal would not have done nearly as much damage, and likely would have been easily taken out by a larger predator like the original T-Rex. Especially since this animal would have been all by itself and not apart of a pack.

That makes me think, if there was a spinosaurus on Nublar, did Rexy encounter it? If so, she most certainly would have won since she is alive and that spino sadly isn't. This doesn't mean she can beat the jp3 spino so yeah. But that also makes me wonder. When did they clone this spinosaurus and how did it die. It might not have been Rexy, Maybe it was natural causes. Maybe that was the dinosaur in paddock 10. And could they potentially show Rexy in a prequel killing this spinosaurus to even the score between the two creatures? I know lots of people will hate me for that idea but that's just me making stuff up. I'm not in need of that. I just thought it's an idea future filmmakers could use.

To be fair, this vid is a theory. As we don’t have confirmation, only the ridiculously powerful jp3 spino is the only specimen created. The statue in nuclear ‘might’ have been a prop, considering the head crests are different

My theory on how the second Spinosours died is because it probably had a fight with rexy and lost. Kinda explains the concept art of jwfk Rexy vs Spinosours and does kinda explain why Rexy just showed up out of nowhere and. That could be her nest if she doesn't still have her old one back at main street the way the second Spinosours died is that it did not have a reinforced neck like how JP3 Spino had. As i was saying Rexy would of crushed the neck of the Spinosours and kanda get back at JP3 Spino neck snap kill.

Asset 87 was not a true spinosaurus but a dinosaur called an almagonation of combined dinosaurs with the frog dna to make the spinosaurs, and during the past events of jurassic park this spinosaurus was part of the first almagonation project until isla sorna was abandoned. and the spino went loose and now resides on manta corp island

Well swrve technically we have not 1 or 2 but “4” spinosaurids I’m Jurassic park canon. Because rebel and angel were part spino in camp Cretaceous and were made from the genetic code from jp3’s spinosaurus that was captured and brought to mantah corp island, and before you all start harping at me saying “well rebel and angel aren’t technically pure blood spino’s so they don’t count as being spino’s” they were in fact part spino and part sinoceratops. So they are somewhat counted as spinosaurids

Could it be a Suchomimus? They were on Nublar as well and had a sail along the back as well but obviously not as big and pronounced as Spinosaurus’s sail. Suchomimus was quite large too, 33 feet long and could have grown even larger since the holotype specimen showed signs of still growing. I hope one day we get to see Suchomimus on the big screen and its design is the same as or similar to the JW website and JW Evolution game design. It is almost perfect as an accurate representation of Suchomimus; the only thing that could be improved would be increasing the size of the claw on the first finger on the hands of the arms. All spinosaurids had enlarged claws on the first digit of each hand. I also hope they improve the Baryonyx design; they totally dropped the ball on it to the point it barely resembles the real animal. Baryonyx was a beautiful and elegant animal not the jumbled mess that ended up in the movie. Colin Trevorrow has a terrible habit of taking truly beautiful and unique dinosaurs such as Baryonyx and Therizinosaurus and dulling them down to look very generic with very minimal resemblance to the real animal. The first JP movie tried and succeeded in using the most cutting edge and current paleontology in designing and developing the dinosaurs. The only exception to that would be the Dilophosaurus and it’s retractable frill and ability to spit venom like certain cobras. The venom doesn’t bother me as much as the frill and size of the animal because I think they wanted to carry that trait over from the novel. I think that trait was given to Dilophosaurus by Michael Crichton to show how alien/exotic these animals were because such traits and behaviors could never be known. The small size maybe was to make it different from the Velociraptors but you think the head crests, venom and frill would have been enough but of course it could have simply been a juvenile animal. The boxy skull of the Dilophosaurus is hard to explain until we look back at the taxonomy of Dilophosaurus; at that time there was the American species wetherilli and what was thought at the time was a new Chinese species that was described at the same time the movie was being made. The species at first was named Dilophosaurus sinensis but as time passed and more studies were done it became clear that it was a new genus and species now named Sinosaurus triassicus.
