Speaking of Luigi's Mansion and sadly I've never played any of the games besides one in particular. There is a Luigi's Mansion arcade. It's a first-person shooter, well it is first person but you know you're using the vacuum. It's pretty fun as well just like how Mario Kart GP X or whatever the third Mario Kart arcade is is a lot of fun, but well unfortunately it's still has that issue of it being an arcade game where it's the old version of microtransactions where you have to keep putting quarters in the machine although in this case most arcades actually use a play card from whatever establishment you're at.

Excellent content...since finding your channel I've binged the lot..this channel is 100% going to take off..big time..being a kid back in the 80's I love the nostalgia and back story's to things I took for granted.

Did not know the first appearance was in a Game Watch title, if only because this one looks so... ordinary? So "Regular Game & Watch" type, no real "Mario and Luigi" feeling... but if it was the first then it kinda makes sense it would precede what I consider "the Mario and Luigi feeling".

Oh man, Mario is Missing. My parents could only afford 1 or 2 SNES games per year. Child me picked Mario is Missing thinking it was a sort of sequel to Super Mario World. I had played all my other games to death and it was the only new game I had. I used to loathe turning the console on and "playing" it. Such a boring & weird title, as you stated Quest Gamer. Also, this channel is 🔥🔥🔥 - I love the ~15 minute documentary style videos. So much easier to consume than the long 30-40 minute videos. Keep it up 💪

On the note of Luigi being down-graded back to just "Player 2" in Super Mario Bros. 3: keep in mind that Mario Bros. 2 in the U.S. was not the same Mario Bros. 2 that Japan got. We got a reskinned "Doki Doki Panic" game. If you follow the Japanese Mario Bros. Chronology, Luigi was always just Player 2.

Luigi was a way for Miyamoto-san to get back at the tall people who made fun of him as a wee lad, portraying them as slippery and cowardly. It would backfire over time, but he eventually accepted them, and Luigi, as brothers.

@@thequestgamer Sure! There are a lot of RPG's that have some amazing backstory to them and have stories of the people around them. I'll start with my favorite game of all time, Chrono Trigger, long considered one of the greatest RPG's ever made. The alpha footage looked nothing like the finished product and the people that made it met largely by chance. Or the guy who made the music and was so passionate about the project he slept in his office, got stomach ulcers, and nearly died while working on it. Such was the dedication of one Yatsunori Mitsuda.

Your channel is criminally underrated. Also Super Mario All Stars + Super Mario World gave Luigi an original sprite. Unfortunately 20 years ago, my SNES and that cartridge (with many others, manuals and all) was left on the curb for anyone to pickup/trash collection. I regret it terribly.

Thank you for the kind words. I feel absolutely terrible for you about the trash collection story 😐 I blew up my first SNES by accidently plugging it into a power converter if it makes you feel any better. Painful times.
