I have such fond memories of rising through the CPL ranks from Cal-Open to Cal-Premier with my team way back when. Scrimmages day after day, coming up with new strats for the CPL maps (mill was always my favorite) and testing them in game. The communities of 1.6 were so full of life it seemed, no matter which community you called home there was always something new going on, thanks to the countless number of people like you Phil who put out maps for the community. Back then when we were mapping for 1.6, we had obviously the other maps in mind. It was hard to come up with something completely different from what was done, especially because players were not keen to learn new maps. In fact, CPL maps were only popular in the US, and pretty much despised everywhere else. Great video anyway, that took me back in the early 2000.
