Well, I'm certainly glad that Mr. Briggs was able to clear that up for us. Actually that long pause was pretty much what happened in '56. Packard closed its Detroit plants and moved everything to Studebaker's South Bend facility. There the (in) famous '57 and '58 Packardbakers were produced with dismal sales results. And that was the end.

Such a shame for such a great car company. It's a very strange ending, but in hind sight makes sense. It's as if they knew what was happening. Thank you Mr. Briggs.
