Quake 4 was so ahead of its time, I remember running it in 15FPS and still having a blast. I wish quake 4 got the remaster treatment like Doom 3 did I find the main machinegun reload to be very satisfying, I would often shoot off one round just to reload.

DOOM 3 never had a remaster (BFG edition), they just increased the frame cap and broke all the scripts, added an ugly flashlight on the character that broke immersion, has lower ig video quality, all that while massively boosting ammo drops for no reason. Also some menu options are removed, but hey it shiped with DOOM 1, altho a censored version ROFL.
