Robert Fisher and his wife, Mary, were not in a good place. They had been receiving marriage counseling from their church and Robert was afraid that she might find out about a recent affair. He didn’t want to get a divorce, so he took action to ensure that that would not happen.

If you are a victim of domestic abuse, please reach out to someone for help. Please call the national domestic abuse hotline at 1-800-799-SAFE. That’s 1-800-799-7233 or go to thehotline.org to chat with someone online. The great thing about this website is that, at any time, hitting the escape key twice will instantly take your browser to a google search page. In the event the abuser is nearby, you can ensure that you don’t get caught trying to get help.
If you are having feelings of harming yourself or someone else or even just need someone to talk to, please contact your local mental health facility, call 911 or call Mental Health America who operate the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 1-800-273-TALK. That’s 1-800-273-8255. They’re available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

The way he treated his family was so disgusting. His poor kids. How could someone get bored at their daughter's award ceremony and make her leave before she even got her award? That is messed up. He was a real messed up POS. It is too bad his wife didn't leave him long before he killed her and the kids. There were definitely lots of red flags with that one. It is just sad his kids died without ever being free of him and being able to enjoy their lives.
@katybug6572

Ikr?? I thought that awards ceremony thing was complete bullshit, how can you just get so ‘bored’ you make your kid leave without getting an award she deserved, had worked so hard in school and got such excellent grades she was actually being praised for it by her teachers and her own father says ‘Na we’re out’.. that’s disgusting if I was his wife n my daughter told me she didn’t get her award I would’ve smacked the shit outta him and be gone. But sadly I don’t think she had enough self esteem, all those years being told what to do by him no wonder the kids were the same too.. very very sad. They need to find this POS.. how can one man be smarter than the FBI and go on for like the last ten years still on the run?! It’s crazy.. hopefully he’s just really dead n rotting in hell and his body is in some random cave or crevice in the mountains or something.. we can only hope. God bless the family he took 💜🙏

This guy is a massive control freak. Even if she had left him, she wouldn't be able to escape unless she killed him. He would have hunted her down and terrorized her before killing her. No way he would have just let them go. I can't stand that he got away with their murders. I wouldn't be surprised if he also controlled and then killed his replacement wife, as well.

Wow - 15 - but sounds like you stepped up and took responsibility which isn’t always the case so good for you man - it doesn’t matter how old you are - if your divorced or not - your kids are always your kids - it’s not like a divorce will make them stop loving you ya know? This man refused a divorce but murdering them was a better option? Totally demented and yes I get what your saying - him standing over the child ready to cut their throats he had to have seen himself in them for sure. I don’t know how anyone could do what he did to those babies... horrific. I wonder why he shot his wife but not the kids. Seems more personal and graphic to cut their throats. Definitely demented.

For people wondering why they haven't found him yet: The woods where they found his car and dog are known to have a lot of caves and such. Dude killed himself and they just never found the body. That's why the cops found the dog by the car. Any man who is a survivalist and a dog owner isn't going to leave the dog behind. They're going to keep that animal with them as extra protection from other animals, and as pure company. But since he clearly loved his dog more than his own family, he left him where he would be found and cared for.

This guy's been on the FBI most wanted list forever. I remember this case when it happened and I've followed it since. He's probably living in another country or off the land in the mountains. He's sure been quiet and off the grid that's for sure.

He probably grew his hair back out, dyed it back to blond (because he looked completely different that way) and got himself a new wife and kids to control and abuse. Guys like that don't feel like men unless they're controlling a woman. There's no way he'd just stay out in the wilderness and live an isolated life. Back then it was a lot easier to create a new identity and disappear

Fathers, if you want your child to be interested in your hobbies, you have to show interest in their hobbies as well. Good parenting, and any relationship, works both ways. Life is a team event

By putting out cases like this and having his picture up. You might help solve the case. Someone might watch this and remember seeing his face someplace or if they see him in public they can contact the authorities.

I really appreciate the effort you make to put these documentaries out , I really don't care about the ratio of our miles to kilometers though. We don't use the metric system in America and even people from other countries who narrate these shows only use miles when doing one that happened here. I still enjoy your documentaries though. I think you do a very good job.
