Thank you for sharing this. Since childhood i always had the distinct feeling that birds were trying to bring messages. They can see true the window of our eyes. Even in many dreams i heard birds of prey screeching and we talked from spirit to spirit. In my early 20’s i’ve had a very clear vision (while fully awake) of 2 crows that kept on calling to me and would fly ahead of me. When i asked them what they were trying to tell me they said laughingly: This is your name you fool, you are Two Crows… From that day on i have seen this as my spirit name, the connection between the earth and the spirit world. This is maybe the third time that i am telling this. Most people will think that you are crazy…😂

I have a story my great grandfather fastwalker with his fast moccasins ran a race against a American soldier on horse back from Fort Pierre SD to old Fort Thompson sixty two. Point eight miles away on the crow creek sioux Indian reservation during the early 1860s. The gun fire started the race for the entire day and evening time. The one who crossed the finish line was fastwalker beating the American soldier on horse back. Later the us military wanted him to send messages to the Dakota and Lakota sioux encampments. Many years later general Persian came to visit fastwalker at his home at old Fort Thompson SD because must heard of great grandfather fast speed will winning the famous race that happened many years ago. My people still remember fastwalker's great deeds with his fast moccasins.

This is the first time I have heard this story but as a girl until up to a few years ago, I dreamed this dream.. more detail (I.e. the frost on my hair and the bitter cold: the smell after the rain had stopped and the water receded, the cries from the hungry animals etc..) I am a 53 young hippie or earth lover who is not Native American but white.. I also believe in multiple lives, recyclable and love each life I’ve had…

A story that tells about human beings, not as a master of the rest of the creation, but as a dependend part in it, among all other living (life philosophy)... and why Eagles are held so high by the Lakotas (a story for cultural revival). What child can forget it's place and meaning ...and it's culture, hearing stories like this?

It's not the same but I usually see two hawks perched and flying around my balcony. Today both of them showed up, the smaller one had caught something and was eating it. The larger one came in and landed next to her wanting a piece, but she moved to another branch. The big one let out a stream of white shit while stretching it's feathers, and I was like, lol ok, I still like you guys.
