I still remember when the rivalry was SK vs FNC... It used to be the "El clasico of LoL" with two spaniards Oce and xPeke against each other. Then Ocelote left SK and G2 emerged. Even tho Peke left FNC soon after and founded Origen, the big old Rivalry was still with FNC. Maybe this Rivalry should rather be named Ocelote vs FNC.

This document is really wonderful but I'm actually surprised there is no part for Romain Bigeard who actually stepped up the quality of every biggest show in EU and started this waves of madness with Unicorn of Love. He helped a lot to give EU her unique image and differenciated from the NA League. I don't know every competition in sport and e-sport but to my knowledge League of Legend is the first to succeed in unify the European fans. We don't have the same language and culture but we support the same team with the same passion!

There's been some rumor about Romain's involvement in the Neom sponsorhip deal and some head of the legue tweeted about things changing in order to prevent something like that to happen again so maybe this can explain the absence of Romain. This is 100% speculation and my belief is just that they went to the studio to interview the casters and the couple of directors who were present idk.

Hard disagree on that one. I think the LCS does everything in its power to have a more professional tone, like other big american sports leagues you can see on TV, like i.e. the NBA, NFL or NHL. LEC goes a different route with embracing the culture that is present in online worlds, which is obv more taylored to the audience one would expect for a online game, with all the memes and banter going on. Also they dont take themselves too serious at times. Can you imagine any sports league on TV doing that?

Personally, it’s gonna be almost a tie between LEC and LCK production for me. Both have dedicated casters and personalities. LCK has had more money funneled into it historically, but the LEC arguably has done more with what they’ve been given to even the stakes. And then there’s LCS in the corner being ResidentSleeper

Sakkinappula I don’t, nor do I profess to know the language. However, I have several friends who are Korean-American who thoroughly enjoy the Korean casters. Besides their commentators, they also have very good viewer UI and from what I heard, they’re personality lineup is very strong. LCS used to be really strong, and I think they have good potential, but they haven’t innovated recently besides the new In-Game Overlay which is kinda hard to get used to.
