I'm so glad that we finally have video that explains the enigma that was Live Remix. Amazing work as always, BlackJupiter! I looked through some of the Unity code for this game and something super interesting I found is that the game seems to have references to English voice lines for the characters. The only two reasons I can think of for this is either: A. An English localization was in the works at one point B. A dual audio feature for Japanese fans. (Although I have no idea if this kind of thing is requested in Japan like it is in the west) There aren't any official statements about this so I'm mostly just speculating here. The only thing I can really confirm is that these references were added in an update which makes me think this was intended to be used. There also seems to be a weird amount of cut content in this game. For example, the APK has basic text files for a personality quiz at the start of the game and Thought Fragment messages for scanning. These were even featured in a few pre-release screenshots, but I couldn't find anything about them after release so they might just been never used. I would post screenshots of this stuff but KZbin really hates external links so eh. -Also I really need to finish the Field Walk project huh.-

minus the micro-transactions i think this honestly has some potential if brought back, as a sort of pokemone go esque game, especially after neo, like you and some friends make a team, do a raid boss fight to get some points to win really cool weekly rewards or something, add a bit of character customization and bam, twewy themed mobile game

It’s been about two months since I discovered this channel when the crossover video about KH x TWEWY happened to come up in my suggestion algorithm and the rest is history as they say from coming for one thing and staying for the rest. Agent Random I just want to say thank you for your content in my first few days of subscribing I watch so many of the videos here and was taken back. My journey with TWEWY began after being introduced to the “Underground Legacies” as I like to call them nowadays in KH’s DDD and It was love at first sight. Played the original about a year and a half later and fell in love with them all even more. The raw grittiness behind the story’s message that I think holds so much value even now more than what it did 15 years ago or even 7 to 8 years for me. The soundtrack and score that is still one of the best pieces of musical accompaniments with a game ever and last but not least the characters themselves who all mean so much to me in their own way especially Rhyme and Neku who are personal favorites. Now and the time since discovering the wonderful world that is “Black Jupiter” and a certain agent of randomness I’ve only been playing NEO and getting to know the Wicked Twisters for about a month now but already I’m having a great time with them and look forward to learning more about Rhindo, Fret, Nagi who I was just recently introduced too along with the rest of the characters , the story, and so on! And while I had already been thinking about it since seeing the initial trailer I have to thank you once more for your content because it really convinced me to play it after being upset about how the anime has turned out, I’m glad to see people like yourself out there showing some love to a very underrated cult of a franchise and to have you apart of my TWEWY journey! Thank you again for work and love to this series, you are awesome sir I hope you enjoy the anniversary as much as the rest of us players and I look forward to seeing more of your content but until we meet on this digital underground again. I've wanted to play this since I knew about it's existence years ago, sadly I will probably never play it, and I knew most of the things mentioned here cuz I've read interviews from before the release of live remix, and I searched everything I could, I even downloaded all the files posted on reddit and a friend translated some of coco's dialogue (not too much, but it was something), but there are some things on this video that I didn't know!!! I was really curious about what the character pins were supposed to be and now I know!!!! This is truly an epic video, I hope more people watch this and makes them care about live remix

I've known about this game for years and even had an apk of it, but didn't work cause the service was already dead when I found out. I remember watching the KZbin video you mentioned over and over again. Wish I actually got to play it. It was probably like 10 years back, but I still think about this game.

Yeah, I got that impression too. It's a cultural thing in Japan that older women try to act as young as possible, to a point where in the mid 2000's, travelers overseas were noting a weird trend of 30 somethings carrying stuffed animals of their own to avoid looking "old."

I've wanted to know everything I can about Live Remix for so many years! Thanks so much for all the work you put into this, BlackJupiter! Definitely some interesting stuff. Still a shame that we'll never get to play it, but maybe someday. Or maybe Square Enix will make something new like it, and we'll get to play that. And fans are trying to find a way for English speaking fans to experience that one walking, picture taking Neo TWEWY game for Shibuya? That's so amazing! What a wonderful community we have! Though I'm sad to hear that they hadn't planned to make Shiki playable in Live Remix. I thought they had been. And there was no Rhyme event? -sobs- Oh, well.

Fun fact that doesn't really pertain to live remix but I thought was still interesting: the voice actors for Joshua (Aaron Spann) and Sho (Andy Hirsch) were both involved in a series before TWEWY, that being The Wild Thornberries. I don't know if that's too special or anything, I just thought it was funny.

The OST was mostly just reused songs from Solo Remix. There were like 4 or 5 new tracks but those got released on the Crossover~Tribute album and then were eventually added to Final Remix as well.

TWEWY Live Remix should've been preserved. Like with the OG Final Fantasy VII Before Crisis, both games are partially found; as of now they have yet to be completely found, though BCFFVII is gonna be remastered and re-released via Ever Crisis(and Crisis Core got remasters twice apparently, starting with the aforementioned Ever Crisis and CCFFVII Reunion). So we'll have to wait and see if Square Enix would finally give TWEWY Live Remix another chance to be seen and played again.

when I was a child back in 2007 I never knew Twewy came out on D.S so I don't know about the prequel too Neo The World Ends with U. I Got Neo around 2021 And I Absolutely Love it Cause I just Finished the Game Recently story And a few Achievements. I plan on Playing it over and over again Till I get all pins if able too. (Mostly Trying to get the Black Cat Ensemble).
