The Story of The Most Unfortunate Minecraft Speedrunner Crookst. This video goes over how unlucky a single Minecraft Speedrunner can be. We follow the story of Crookst who has some of the fastest minecraft speedruns in the world. Unfortunately he never held a world record over people like Couriway, Dream, Zylenox and Illumina. Crookst is the most skilled Minecraft speedrunner without a world record. No cheating was involved in these runs because Crookst is really good at speedruns. This challenge of getting a world record is a very tough one. There are controversies with player skill and how close Crookst was to a world record. The ender dragon boss fight has many parts to it with a zero cycle or one cycle that involves using a bed to beat the dragon. The fact that there was a warped forest in the Nether was even more saddening. With the 5:27 stronghold entry, it wouldn’t be much slower with the wood. If he has navigated faster, he would’ve gotten sub 6 ee. With the same perch (keep in mind he has wood so he doesn’t have to boat glitch) he could’ve gotten sub 7. Also let me remind you that when I am writing this, no one has sub 7.

Because he reseted pretty conservative and his enters were more diverse than bt+ravine. Also he was on pace every 20 minutes

You realistically can't compare anything before end enter, even then crookst's ee would've been slower than nofear if he had gotten his wood earlier on which is typically what happens (drowned stopped him getting more wood in shipwreck and made the run slightly quicker)

He was the goat for sure. NOBODY has gotten close to his level of domination since he quit, he was the undisputed best in the game for like a year and outmatched everyone by basically every measure(besides PB Sadge). Whatever he's doing now I'm sure he's also beasting it, best of luck to him. I'm not convinced someone with that level of capability/work ethic is better off playing minecraft all day anyway

It took more than 2 years for someone to beat his stronghold enter (drip’s wr). Just imagine how goated he was back then. But now I think everyone has improved to Crookst’s standards so he will likely have an equal chance as the top 20 speedrunners to this date

In my opinion the term of a sub 10 already lost its grace a long time ago, I would say that until the moment where Sagi achieved the world record were the last important moments of the sub 10, since players like Doogile, Zylenox, NoFear1337 or Meebie They have destroyed the importance since practically these players get sub 10 as if it were something normal in their lives, which makes it less important, and more runners now gets a sub 10, I would say that this was a great achievement back in middle of 2022 but now I would say that It doesn't compare at all, it's not to say that Crookst was bad, in fact he is my favorite speedrunner but unfortunately the runners now destroyed the term as I said before :( (anyway I LOVE this video man)

I think you underestimate how incredibly difficult a sub 10 is.. Sub 8 is the new sub 10, nobody is denying that but anyone with a sub 10 is an incredible runner, people are more determined now than ever to grind out a pb, and there are alot more skilled players that play the game now but this does not make getting a sub 10 any less noteworthy

@@Hotziemniok What are you waffling about? Good luck is good fortune. Bad luck is bad fortune. How is it "lucky" to get bad luck? It's literally just unlucky. If you get a rare life threatening disease, are you lucky? No.. You're unlucky. Nobody denies that you need incredible luck for speedrunning MC, but you create your own luck through reset efficiency, nethers per hour and time played. You can be the best player of all time, but if you don't play you will never get a top run. Alot of these top runners have millions of seed resets, at what point is it improbable for them to not get the run they desire? if you're skilled and persistent, you will get a top time. Crookst would have too, but he was unlucky and gave up.
