PART TWO: kzbin.info/www/bejne/aIuUaJaro7J-mtE
About this video:
This is a compilation of all my previous Warcraft videos. It contains all the cinematics and story-relevant campaign content, organised so as to be watchable as one (long) movie (for example, all credits are moved to the end, some logos were removed, added a short interlude about the events that were supposed to happen between Warcraft II and III etc.).
This was intended to be only one video, but because of its size I could not upload it to KZbin in one piece at higher than 480p quality, so I cut it in halves in a spot that I felt was natural. Therefore, the contents from "Warcraft I", "Warcraft II" and "Warcraft III Reign of chaos" can be found in the first video, which you can access from this playlist or by clicking the link in the video description.
As always, for more information about the lore, check out wowpedia.org or Blizzard's official sites. Obviously, all the used content belongs to Blizzard and has only been edited by me.
For other versions of these campaigns (different resolutions or cleaner versions) check out the older videos on my channel.
I hope you enjoy watching this Warcraft "movie", at least until Blizzard gives us a real one ;)

Gave that old DnD t.v. series feeling, didn't it? A shame more people didn't get the opportunity to experience the sheer epic of those games when they were still up to par with many standards.

The music in WC3 and WoW Vanillia really played a big part in setting the tone. The campaign maps where small, but the music gave me the impression of how vast and ancient the world is.

Lorewise, Kalimdor was undiscovered at that point, so since their "known world" consisted of just the Eastern Kingdoms, it might make sense for them to refer to that large gulf west of Khaz Modan as a great sea (or a part of the great sea that they hadn't yet fully explored). Gameplay-wise, it was the only in-game sea back then (and the name makes it sound exciting for the people waiting to play a game which introduces naval warfare to the franchise :) ).

Something I kinda miss about the Alliance that was in Warcraft 2 was how, although warriors of light and the good guys, they could be just as merciless and vicious as the Horde. They would put Orc heads on pikes, minor peasant uprisings were met by the blades of the knights, they razed the capital of Alterac to the ground with no mercy, and they were a very desperate alliance of nations that didnt really get along united only to fight off the Horde. Stormgarde and Gilneas left the Alliance shortly after victory lol.

2:31:54 my second-favorite bit of dialogue in the whole series ("the traitor king!" "who, me?" "they were referring to me, death knight" is my favorite). The foreshadowing here, the descent into madness, Arthas is already blinded by his ambition. Chills run up my spine hearing it.
@AnMComm

"Already" blinded by his ambition? He killed his own further and threw away his ashes just to resurrect an old necromancer he killed himself.

@@AnMComm I worded it poorly. I was saying that the bit at 2:31:54, "this howling wind cuts to the bone, and you're not even shaking. My lord, are you all right?" as foreshadowing. It's my second favorite line of dialogue in the series, maybe my second.

Now i got the story of warcrafts start, characters, everything what i was wishing a long time. Good day, the story is unbelievably long and complex. Jumping straight into WoW without all this knowledge makes it appear a confusing mess of a storyline, which it is not. Although I found it a little too late, as I already watched other gameplays of Warcraft II and always skipped to the story parts, I thank you for this video! It might be helpful as a story recap in the future. P.S. That's a great name for a KZbin channel.

I never played Orcs and Humans, but I remember the old Warcraft II games on Mac that I had with my brother and friends that lasted up to or in some cases over 3 hours sometimes on Garden of War. Everyone sending peons / peasants to start small bases both to take the goldmines and to start cutting into the centre mine...Of course a lot of times it devolved into spamming sappers / demolition teams and sending them in to clear the path. And if I recall correctly, Gold Mines actually had health and you could destroy them, though it was hardly worth the effort attacking the mines because of the insane amount of health they had.

@Arkosh888

Nerzul was not a death knight. Nerzul was the mentor of guldan. He became the lich king or jailor of the damned because of the pact between him and the burning legion. The scourge was born in icecrown and spread through eastern kingdom to make way for the invasion of the burning legion. It was supposed to weaken the defenses of azeroth

Here's the Wowpedia explanation: "These soldiers of darkness were created by Gul'dan to replace the slaughtered Warlock clans. Assembled from the corpses of the Knights of Stormwind slain in the last battles of the First War, these abominations were then instilled with the ethereal essence of the Shadow Council. Further empowered with magical energies culled from the slain necrolytes, the death knights wielded an arsenal of necromantic and elemental spells that mete out all but certain death to the enemies of the Horde. The original death knights were created for Orgrim Doomhammer by Gul'dan as powerful soldiers of the Horde. These death knights were created by placing the souls of the slain warlocks of the Shadow Council into the corpses of fallen Stormwind knights, the first of whom was Teron Gorefiend. Unlike modern death knights of the Scourge, these ghoulish fiends were not battle hardened warriors; they were insidious necromancers who possessed superior intellect and tremendous magical power. They often favored the use of terror tactics and reanimated the corpses of enemy soldiers who fell in battle to serve them as mindless undead minions. Most of these death knights were destroyed during and after the Second War, either killed by the Alliance or transformed into liches by Kil'jaeden."

Wow, the line only a fool would leave these treasures unguarded for both the very first orc mission ever and the assault on new stormwind

I still remember playing vanilla WOW and being blown away by the under city. How intricately it was reconstructed. Stromgarde (RED) for the win (in WC2).

The flames look really good for a game this old, created in a time of comparatively low tech.

According to IMDB and Wowpedia, Bill Roper did both orc and human briefing voices, as well as many units, in both WI and WII.
