This is such an inspirational story. As an international fan of RM, I barely know SeChan’s background before he joined RM. And of course, SoMin shines a lot more than him since the beginning. I have never hate any of them, they both helped RM’s reincarnation. These days, SeChan shines a lot more, he actually is funny, athletic, dumb and smart at the same time. I can never be grateful enough for them to carry on for the fans, it’s like a lifeline for me for 11 years.

I got to know Se-Chan when BLACKPINK guested in Running Man. I remembered him a lot because he's the one who became really close to my bias Rosé in Running Man. But I didn't know he have cancer. He looks a very happy and jolly person. How can he hide it behind his smile and laugh? He's so strong. Such a very inspirational story.

I’m a RM fans since years ago, even there are new members I love them all, they’re have their own personalities, they’re makes me laughs. I didn’t have any problem with new members in fact I like them all since the first day they’re join the RM family. Se Chan is the hybrid of Gary, Jae Suk, Lee Kwang Soo. Speed, 2nd strongest in RM, Kkang Kkang status, and comedic agility and can act as the spy/traitor very well.

I think in the beginning,he was trying too hard considering he was successful prior to joining Running Man. He doesn't have the chemistry with other members of RM yet,but slowly after knowing how each member act,he soon know how to work around it. Unlike Somin,she by nature is just like that.Both are polar opposite. You can actually see Se Chan & Kwangsoo(during his early days) is very similar. Remember that RM may be an indoor concept nowadays,but it also does not involved much script,so this affect Sechan ability to 'what should i do' because most of his past show has script,so it easy for him to follow unlike RM has no/less script. Even Kwangsoo was the same in the beginning. He was clueless & YJS nurtured both Kwangsoo & Sechan step by step. See their success now.

At first it is really hard to accept a change because Running Man originally leave a big impact on many people. So it is hard at first. But then now after Sechan and Somin works as Running Man members. I really hope they won't leave because I can't imagine Running Man without them. To be honest I don't like him since he joined Running man because of his character in the show but as years passed of watching him in the show, in a different perspective I realize that he is just trying hard to do a great job in the show and I started to get fond of him. I like his brother more because of his style and I'm not a big fan of Sechan's style but lately he is doing great though so good for him. I never disliked Sechan or Somin, and I've been watching Running Man since episode 1. They were great additions to Running Man, especially Somin because since the beginning that she was willing to downright destroy her image in order to entertain people, and she *truly* entertains. Sechan really was more in the background and it took him some time to adapt, but once someone is part of the Running Man family, everyone should come together to support that member. Personally, I don't get why people didn't like their addition to the show. The show was going be cancelled, for goodness sake. We should be glad the producer made that choice, otherwise Running Man would've stopped existing 5 years ago.

I felt the same. After gary left i felt they were just there to to replace him since gary really stood out in the program. Till this day im happy se chan joined. Not so happy about somin joning for the reason mentioned in this video. From the get go she stood out and in my opinion tries to be too funny and even sometimes copies the other members. Back in the day jihyo also had lots of screentime but since somin is there she just overshadows jihyo. Anyway i hope se chan is happy now, earns enough money and will find a loved one to share his life with and has someone to talk to😭😭

At first.. I couldn't move on from running man having new members.. but after a year.. running man seemed entertaining and fun with those two.. like their chemistry with each member is so satisfying.. at this point i can't watch running Man without those sechan and somin.. they have their own unique character in RM.. and i feel so proud to know that yang sechan is living happily than last time.. hope he will continue being successful and healthy person!

Running Man is not a show just for anybody to fit in. Even experienced celebrity guests have a hard time with running man because it's not scripted. Imagine being there full time and having to fit in without overlapping with anybody elses successful personas. There are only a few guests that do it really well and they're usually invited repeatedly.

Even though I can't say I'm a fan of Running Man, I still watched them from time to time but that's only until Gary's departure. After that, 2d1n casts at that time were more entertaining and fun. Running Man who was titled as South Korea's most popular show, was then hit rock bottom. People was saying how they couldn't even stand if compared to 2D1N. Ever since Somin and Sechan joined, they got their name back but I don't understand why some 'fans' are so harsh on them. Yes it takes time to adapt with some changes, but the hate was severe, really. It's not long after they joined that I started to watch Running Man again. Thank God the original casts are all nice and the two of them are also mentally strong... that's why they could bear all of that. Now that my favorite, Lee Kwangsoo, has left, I still try to watch them week to week. There's no way this would happen if it wasn't thanks to Yang Sechan. Thank you.

This makes so much sense. Somin outshone Sechan by a mile, so I was also a bit indifferent to him. When I heard about new cast members,I wasnt too pleased either until I watched their first epusode and went, "I remember these two! They were hilarious!!!" Sechan is such a genuine person. He's not familiar with putting on a fake TV character as is required on varity shows. Even when he's pulling jokes, you catch glimpses of how he takes care of the characters. Its so heartwarming. There was that one episode when Sechan wasnt there and it hit me so hard, and I realized how much of a role he plays. We were just took detracted by Kwangsoo and Jaesuk to really appreciate Sechan wholeheartedly.

@@everythingaboutkorean 어린 시절부터 힘든 시기를 버티고 사람들한테 큰 웃음을 주는 코미디언으로 마무리 된 점이 좋았네요. 다만 행사 50개는 2008년 웅이아버지 시절의 이야기인데 12년 남통연 시기로 나온게 살짝 아쉽지만요 물론 남통연은 당시에 코빅 최고 인기코너이긴 했습니다. "코빅 무적함대" 라는 별명이 붙을 정도로 우승을 많이 한데다 시즌 마지막에는 제작진 측에서 mvp 상도 수여했으니까요. 행사도 꽤 하지 않았을까 싶네요

8:21 correction there it's the Korean fan who didn't like Sechan at the early stage of runningman debut there's a lot of harassment typed in korean at youtube and twitter .At the time that we actually tried to stop them from doing so.
