This version of the song was made to fit the rest of Proper Dose. That’s why it sounds different from it’s single-release counterpart. Both are great, but that’s the main reason I can think of that they’d make some pretty substantial changes. Still bangs though. :)

This song slaps. I haven’t stopped listening for over a year. The production on the record and is middy, and Parker’s vocals aren’t as raw as we are used to. It’s not the same stripped down TSSF sound we are used to, but that’s okay! Maybe it will help appeal to a broader audience. Anyways, are there any other addicts that cry every time they hear this song/record? If you’ve ever been in the depths of addiction, you feel all the lyrics super hard on this record.

Old version: Sounded a bit less clear, vocals a bit rougher around the edges (in a good way), and I always felt like there was a strange (water gurglish..?) effect on the vocal track that I actually really dug. Idk maybe I'm crazy New version: vocals take a clean, chorus-ey approach that also sound great (too clean for me, but does sound epic), but the instruments are so well recorded and mixed with the vocals this time around it sounds SO MUCH BIGGER FUCK YEAH

Th3La5t0n3 idk, I know it's supposed to be a concept album about drug addiction & such and I feel like the droning/processed vocals adds to the feel of being on some type of drug to me, I'm not sure how else to explain it. Don't get me wrong, I personally enjoy the original version to this song though. This version just fits the overall record better though

I Am Squanto I agree this one fits the album better, but that doesn’t change the point. If the album was mixed and produced as the 2017 version of “out of it” we would have a better record, in my opinion. Instead I’m hearing an abuse of sound compression, autotune, voice overlays, and so on. That’s a pity, ‘cause Parker’s voice is powerful and angry...same about guitars, too flat.
