His father worked hard and is a great man... But I salute the guy for respecting his father and not being ashamed of him .... Thank you 4 sharing the story....

I took Uber in Melbourne once and the driver had a PhD in Philosophy. The whole point is never underestimate the person across you by the looks and clothing. They could be lot smarter and wiser than you.

I was once sitting in a park with three other friends. A chaiwala shows. He was wearing a worn-out dress like any other chaiwala roaming around with a kettle. As he serves, he calls us 'Antonio-Bassanio and Savio-Portia' (of Merchant of Venice). one of us mockingly asks, "English honors???" He smiles and says "no, LLB, JC law college 1985 " and walks away. I learned my lesson; attire or profession has nothing to do with knowledge. I'm still curious about his story.... is it just unemployment???

It just goes to show how we snap judge people based on their jobs, we just assume an auto driver can't have sophisticated taste in music or be an educated fluent english speaking person coz he is just...an auto driver...are they also not human beings, why do we automatically assume they are "beneath" us?

" You're speaking english so why are you driving an autorokshaw" as if he is talking rocket science(if it was a language, it would be a tough one to understand). My point is that it's a language not a pass to some arsitocratic stature. It's just a language so treat it like one. Get over your inferiority complex. And i am saying all this in english because for them one can't be an intellectual if he speaks hindi or some other regional language.
@roolshool7 жыл бұрын
EpicPranks what you are saying is right, but isn't close to practicality bro. We all know speaking English doesn't mean you're highly qualified, but the reality is, here in India the one who gets adequate knowledge from a decent school and is properly educated, it is considered, can speak English. Thus speaking English is not indicative that you are knowledgeable, but you are are knowledgeable mostly implies you know English. I know this shouldn't be the case, but this is the reality. What you have written may seem good to read but is not practical.
@prabhavnarang71097 жыл бұрын
The same reaction would've been for French. For one simple reason, these are not languages that are widely used in India. Speaking English is only possible if one's learnt it, unlike Hindi, or some regional dialect which you start learning the moment you're born.
