And, the music was absolutely superb. Thanx to Stelvio Cipriani, an Italian composer, conductor and pianist. Today, I saw this movie for the first time; from a guy who has watched many spaghetti westerns, I can quite honestly say, "What a pleasant surprise!"

This theme song has haunted and enthralled me ever since I heard Henry Mancini’s version on a rock station in 1967 or 68. I next heard it in a chapter of the first Red Dead Redemption game, finally got it on iTunes. Thank you for this movie - the attention to detail and the creativity of the movie makes it one of the great westerns.

Kevin Costner was a much better postman than the guy in the beginning 😂 I wonder why the army officer called himself lieutenant while wearing the rank of captain??? That’s a violation of UCMJ Article 106. Very interesting acting indeed. Still a fun watch.
