Speaking of the other Berry Fresh Build (with FIRE Pyro elements), this version was created recently, but it became quite popular in Tournaments that it is being seen more often. This version of the Aqua Deck is all about using and abusing Legendary Sparkseed: a Monster that not only sets up GY but also allows you to destroy Monsters not tied to a specific Level. Like the other Build, this Deck also uses elements like Chemispet Parakeet and Pot of Duality, but what changes is the Legend Monster that the Deck uses. Infernal Flame Emperor, although it seems unbelievable, is a viable option to use and the favorite to choose in this Berry Fresh variant: it is a Level 9 that gives you protection against some cards, has 2700 ATK, allows you to destroy Backrow with ease (including your own Backrow to expand your combos and plays) and is compatible with Legendary Sparkseed. Basically, this variant of the Deck aims to be more offensive and less combo/control-based. Again, it's curious to see that Berry Fresh, like Secret Investigator, was severely underrated in its early days, but is now one of the most recurrent Meta Decks to see. PS: Well, we had a Duel where the MC's fate was decided. Either way, it left us with some interesting cards. - In addition to Dice still receiving Anime Trap Cards, the Deck also received a Monster that allows you to recycle/reuse those Trap Cards with Die Roll's Effects from the GY and add them to your Hand. - DARK Spellcaster gets a boost in power thanks to a handful of Paranormal cards (yes, that's what these cards are called: Paranormal). Effects include huge Draw power on your Turn, excessive ATK increase based on the number of DARK Spellcasters in your GY, and working on utilizing Monsters of different Levels.

It was an interesting series of games... not sure I was a huge fan of the mirror if I'm being honest!

Ok. I wasn't expecting Berry Fresh vs Berry Fresh this time. However, both Builds are so different and viable to use that it's scary to think that Berry Fresh ended up being this versatile. We're talking about the standard Berry Fresh Build (Tomatosaurs). This version of the Deck is more common to see and the one that allowed this Aqua Deck to be popular in the beginning. Sure, having Monsters with only 100 ATK doesn't sound that exciting or promising, but this Deck has a lot of tools and synergies that complement each other well: Happiness Harvest, Shy, Garden, Strawberry Sui Generis, etc. In fact, Berry Fresh is one of the few Decks that rely on a Field Spell to get that boost to be more threatening (Rush's HERO is the other most common Deck that relies on a Field Spell to get more ATK) This Build only evolved with time and the advancement of the Meta. Chemispet Parakeet was found to have incredible synergy with this Deck. There has also been an increase in the use of Mobius in Berry Fresh, especially after Jest of the Cosmos Princess and Ryozai was limited. However, this brought about the effect of Trap Card's Staples becoming strong again in the Meta: this is where Mobius comes in to provide an efficient answer to removing Backrow for the Deck. Finally, Berry Fresh is one of the few Decks that benefits greatly from Pot of Duality since it doesn't rely on Special Summon. It's quite common now to see this Aqua Deck carrying three copies of Pot of Duality. Still, the main enemy of this Deck is that it's very complex to play and requires you to think carefully about your moves and combos. In a Mirror Match, the matchup becomes more tedious since any card you use benefits your Opponent by default. Basically, Berry Fresh is Aqua Celeb Rose: that Deck that's complex to play, but powerful once you master it (it's not an unfair Deck since it has clear weaknesses and it's easy to overwhelm this Deck). The closest thing for Aqua to having a Tier 1 in Rush Duels. PS: Luckily, "Salamandeus of Scorching" will bring a lot of support for several Decks: which will give a lot of variety in the Matches. The bad thing is that the next Pack after the mentioned one will only come out at the beginning of the next Year: so, there will be weeks of drought for variety in Decks.
