a neat little fact, there used to be a yellow morph, only document of this was when Sir Walter Buller gave one to his son; so if the numbers ever get back to something descent, its possibly we could see this colour morph again.

Thanks, didn't know that! I guess that it's an adaption to the scrubland area, where there is nothing except the short yellow-green grass and shrubs!

On the one hand, it's a hilarious parrot, that brought a ton of attention to the Kakapo, on the other hand, it's sad to see how a poor little parrot started acting like that because of living in isolation from the rest of his kind.
