funnily enough, i feel the same. I wonder if in years to come millenials will look back and think 'what great music' as they listen to some manchild rapper full of BS procrastinating, or x-factors greatest hit's - can't see it myself

This is actually pretty good. The vocalisation in the chorus works much better than the actual version.

Fresh, refreshing and raw! The original Stranglers stripped to the bone! How can today's ( 2017 ) version even hope to compare? First time I have heard this original demo and so Thank You and God bless!

Like a totally different version ..no aggression .. 60s love version

I got this one on a portugese boot-leg single, excellent stuff! It`s called on the label - Bitch, other side is "Grip" and " Buddies".....

Killer. I mean shit. This is incredible. But this can't be the same '75 demo that had Sewer on it - the sound is altogether different for one thing. Ace though.

Lots of slide guitar in this one...oldest punks ever short of the Vibrators! So good...1975 from pub to punk

Pretty sure this appeared on 'The Early Years '74 '75 '76 Rare Live and Unreleased' which was released on the Newspeak label in the early '90s.
@theobjectivethinker6413 жыл бұрын
@steveobie1 Yes it does sort of, however I think that it's the peculiarity of the demo that it sounds that way ( I have a later demo that sounds completley different). Also the Version on the album sounds more like Born to be Wild by steppenwolf which is a more likely influence as JJ is a biker.

The Stranglers are my fav ever band. But this sounds like a band waiting for a bandwagon to jump on. Luckily the one marked 'punk' came along, and this song was reworked to suit.

This sounds like a band leading the way and waiting for punk to catch up. The early punks went to see them.

@@jamieclapperton2728 the later version was more aggressive and had attitude ..jj sang both .. but both different songs from different music types .. this is a far more 60s type ..where as the later version was pure punk
