The "dad" is a beautiful dog. I put the dad in apostrophes because looking at the mom, dad and all the pups, it looks like there was another "dad" somewhere in the picture.

Whether he's the actual Poppa or not he sure loves those pups and loves playing with them and keeping watch over them.

He's the father of those puppies. He'd reject them if he was not the father. The fact he was with the mother-dog and the puppies in the remote place at the moment when traps where settled, says he's the daddy. Two of the puppies have black fur like the dad, where do you think they got it? The mother's genes are the dominant ones and were passed on to the puppies. But that herd-shepherd dog is without any doubts the lucky daddy of those adorable puppies.

@@breadandcircus1 I don't think male dogs "know" whether a puppy is there's or not. it looked to me like they were all dumped in that area - whether the dumpers actually kept the family together or even knew who the father is, is unknown.

@breadandcircus1 yes, but 4 of the puppies are cream colored and non of the adults look like that, so just wondered. It can be a throw back gene from either parent.

Die Not für diese Familie ist zu Ende. Eine stolze Mami und ein guter Papa können ihren Welpen beim Spielen zu sehen. Mama dog loves you Takis, she watches everything always on guard checking the area. Her oldest child is wary stays away from all the others, on the fence watching. If it was 1 of 7 like this lot, all the others are probably dead and he knows how they died and remembers. No trust.

The father was somebody's pet at some stage he is very friendly and will make a good protector. The von trapp family have been raised well by their parents. How ma a survived feeding all of them is amazing. And now they are home . BLESSINGS TAKIS.
