High school football today was heavily impacted by Bob Ladouceur and the football program he established at De La Salle. Simply, the trailblazers of playing a national schedule. Amazing how a NorCal team influenced SoCal football.

DLS was so far ahead of the curve in the late 90s. There is probably very few teams in the nation that could have beat them during 97-03.

DLS has always been great with recruiting the top players in Northern California

Unlike Mater Dei, DLs doesn’t ship in kids from 100 miles away. And unlike Mater Dei, they don’t pay them

I’ll never forget the game against Poly… I thought we’d end the streak that 1st year an then all of a sudden some unknown dude named Maurice Drew went off… 💀

The streak never should have ended in Seattle. Bellevue was a dirty program that got exposed for all the ways they had been cheating a few years later with their coach ousted in disgrace.

Bellevue didn't throw one pass that game. The Streak definitely should've ended! And this from a DLS fan.

It should have ended ran right down they throat just like they did during the streak do other teams and they did they homework studying them for a year and off-season
