It's amazing how nearly 30 years later and so many of it is still recognisable. A lot of history in the buildings around Leeds, that's for sure.

The biggest changes are in the skyline of Leeds and road changes such as cycle lanes and pedestrianisation.

Alot of money has been spent in Leeds centre, yiu can tell. Compare it to Bradford, which is 10 miles away and it's like it's in a time warp 70s style

the skyline of leeds has changed so much with its huge skyscraper buildings present now making the skyline look amazing, and the city centre has literally doubled in size and is to expand even more. leeds and mancs are certainly the 2 cities that really have grown the most over the last 30years, back in the 70s and 80s leeds was a bit dull and grey but it was around 93 onwards that things really changed

I think it was around this time that the red light area moved to Holbeck. I worked on Domestic Street and used Holbeck Lane post office. I was quite surprised to be propositioned just outside it one evening as I hadn’t realised that was the case.

Leeds was always very depressing to me, especially in the 1980s. I can't quite put my finger on it, It always filled me with despair each and every time I had to go there on weekends to visit my mothers side of the family. It was just a very character less and baron landscape that seemed to be trapped in time, I just couldn't bear it. Simply Horrible place.
