Would be interesting to see this pan out. Outside of a top prospects who are ready to start, the offensive side of the trenches could take a year (or more) until they are consistent starters. Even more so for the defensive side even if they are athletic freaks. Jalen Carter started to become more of a force when Fangio finally got a more consistent handle of the Eagles defense in the middle of this season.

Why? Do Bears' fans _deserve_ those? Mat I remind you all that anyone with eyes could have seen the dysfunction Eberflus brought even before the Bears showed us by 1) switching the plays to ones that produced 31 ppg, then 2) voluntarily switching back to ones that *they **_KNEW_* averaged under 20. Remember the excuse you fans invented to pretend that this wasn't all the clue you all needed to know he was undermining the team? "It was all Fields fault. They had to call those bad plays (that averaged under 20 points) because he Can't Read Defenses (proving *you all **_knew_** that was the result of play-calling)* & losing the last 3 of those games where they averaged 31 points proves that *_Fields_* can't win games." So you all _saw_ that Fields was being undermined so you all blamed _Fields_ for the play-calling _and the defense!_ & your own rhetoric showed you All Knew what you were saying!

I’m interested in Brett’s talk about the tackle class. Most of the analysts I respect say this tackle class isn’t very good and is a significant step back from last year. And that the top OT’s would be better as Guards, namely Campbell and maybe Banks. Banks less so, but those who see Banks as a tackle don’t’ have him graded super high. Brett mentioned how he thinks as many as 4 OTs could go top 10 and even more in the top 15. Really intrigued by that as it is a big deviation from what I’ve heard around other draft circles. Simmons from OSU, and Campbell and Banks seem to be the only potential OT locks in the first round, let alone the top 10 or top 15.

You keep bringing up Pickett, but even he wasn't picked until #20. It's not like he was a top-10 pick. EJ mentioned that the numbers play out against lower-round QB's, but I'm not sure that is true. Look at 2021- 5 guys taken in the top-15 and 3 years later, only 1 is on the same team and that team is terrible. 2018 is starting to look a bit better now that Baker and Darnold have resurrected their careers, but it was looking like a 2/5 draft class for a while too. I can name so many busts or disappointments from the 1st round. And you need to factor opportunity costs- a 3rd or 4th rounder is a lower opportunity cost than 1st overall. So if I were a QB-needy team I would use a day 2 or 3 pick on a QB every year until I luck into one, and use the 1sts to improve the team around them.

Kwesi doesn't even have to ask Darnold. He can franchise tag him, but no doubt after the season they'll work out a deal. Remember how smoothly the Jefferson extension went compared to Aiyuk, CeeDee, Chase, and Higgins? Just think how absurd it would be for the Lions not to extend Goff, Bills to let Allen walk, Bengals and Burrow, Ravens and Lamar, Chiefs and Mahomes, Chargers and Herbert, Cards and Kyler. When you've got a QB playing at that level it's a no brainer. Unfortunately there is recent empirical evidence that 49.5% of Americans do have no brain - hence the confusion. The only questions are how long the contract will be, and how much, and we'll find out both in the off season before FA.

Honestly im scared of this qb class as a raiders fan love shaduer swagger but indont have that gut feeling like i had with jayden mcdaniels but my raiders need qb dt( pass rushing nt🙏 big wish in second lol) rb and a cb or wr maybe a gaurd especially if a jpj falls to a second i hope we get tee higgins bc our team would be great get travis and trade back into first to get a qb or draft a qb g

Eventually I'd like to see a comparison of the 2022 and 2025 QB draft classes. I'm not saying there's a Purdy, but maybe there's a Purdy?

I'm hoping through some miracle the Chiefs let Trey Smith walk in the offseason so the Bears can get him I'm not really comfortable with any of the tackles past Banks in the top 10 so hopefully the Bears are able to instead get a Carter or like Graham/Grant either of the two Michigan DT's in there

Damn EJ!! You're gonna saddle Travis Hunter with Devin Hester!?!? Ouch brother. Hester was torce fed the ball, the stats don't tell his story he was JUNK as a WR. If your comp is "not a starter" keep it Hester
