The guitars are so fresh and worn in, crisply and persistently strumming on rhythm and accenting it perfectly on lead, with simple, fresh drum beats and tightly knit, bouncy basslines. The way they create so much with so little will never not astound me.

anyone realise that this is one of their earlier concerts before "room on fire" came out. this means that the song obviously wasn't the "album version" that you are so used to hearing and thusly the words MAY in fact be different. either way, this is a gem, and all albums are great.

This is the best song from 'Room on Fire' in my opinion. I remember the joy I felt when this album came out years ago.. Not so much a feeling of joy upon hearing the new tracks from 'Angles'. The first 2 albums had a unique quality and sound which was very much The Strokes.

Never was on time Yes, I once was mine Well, that was long ago And darling, I don't mind. Yeah, we were just two friends in lust And baby, that just don't mean much You trained me not to love After you showed me what it was Now she's staring wide-eyed Can't close her eyes Say what? Anywhere is fine just don't waste my time You see, my uncle would say things would change once he's dead "Meet me in the bathroom" That's what she said I don't mind, it's true.
