Since the calves are like 10 times stronger, it's not that sad. For example, I can do 200 rep with 70 kg weight, using only one calf. I would never be able to shoulder press even one rep with 70 kg, using one shoulder.

To be fair, it seems that most of the training he does for his legs is with weights. Weights as in not just a weighted vest or weight belt, but full on heavy barbells. This is basically just weight training rather than callisthenics.

Diggy digz A body weight squat is a calisthenic exercise, add weight to that and it becomes a weighted calisthenic exercise. Why is that so hard for you to understand?

The guy at 2:12 is using fake weights. They bounce of off the like a toy, it doesn't shake the camera at all and it shoots up way too high compared to the height he dropped it from. The guy at 2:41 drops much lighter weight and you can immediately she the difference.

What exactly makes this calisthenics? This is classic barbell training + one fake jump out of water. Since this is just barbell training you could show almost any competitive powerlifter/olympic weightlifter, since they're way stronger in this.

You can only go so far all the Calesthenics progressions. Eventually you going to have use weights especially if you're training for strength like this guy

@@nocando17 calisthenics is an endless journey so that's not true, but you can start doing weighted calisthenics to add another endless path. Both progressive and weighted calisthenics are endless journies, there is always something you can do

I agree the term calisthenic cause he's purposefully choosing the worst position to lift himself from the ground and he make it harder with weight. It's not like he's chosing the best position to lift as much weight as possible like a typical weightlifter does.

Been training calisthenics for 1-2 months. Its sad but it's still difficult to do a full pistol squat. I can do half easily. In other basics, it's still the same. Haven't mastered a single one except l-shit hold properly

What is it all for ? Can't he follow a safe routine without such stupid exercises asking for an injury? Yeah, but I've forgotten it's calisthenics so you have to show off and put yourself higher than powerliters or bodybuilders saying it is "functional strength".

Maybe it's just me, but when I'm looking at the part in 1:45 when he is doing those jumps in the small confined space with all the glass windows next to him, I can't help but to think that maybe this guy isn't the sharpest pencil in the box. It's a nice video and kudos to the guy for doing all that stuff, but a lot of it just seemed unnecessarily dangerous and stupid.

1:28 is FAKE... you can tell by the surface of the water. If jumping out, water surface would break. If jumping IN, water surface is calm. This one thing spoiled everything else for me. Now I believe the weights were fake.

I'm yet to see a proper weighted pistol sq of this guy - pretty sure it'd be impressive (with about -10kg on the barbell, though; repositioning the leg before the concentric part should be considered cheating). 1:42 is not that difficult ;) I was most impressed by the last clip, I believe.

@@JamesBond-zg8gz Me? I'm just a random guy who struggled to get +30kg pistol squat, so nothing to brag about. I follow this utube section to marvel at how strong people can be. This particular athlete surely has potential to push limits, and that's exactly why I'd prefer to witness a more proper form (deadweight-leg in front of you the whole time). Unless you mean 1:42 - if so, then it's you who should try it out, because it really is surprisingly easy.

Just to make it clear ->Calisthenics : every exercise in which at least a PART of the weight you’re lifting is given by your bodyweight. So, for ex. OAP is calisthenics and weighted OAP is still calisthenics😂 -Matteo Spinazzola 12/7/18 (On this same titled video by Noa Man Workout back in 2018)
