Since the calves are like 10 times stronger, it's not that sad. For example, I can do 200 rep with 70 kg weight, using only one calf. I would never be able to shoulder press even one rep with 70 kg, using one shoulder.

To be fair, it seems that most of the training he does for his legs is with weights. Weights as in not just a weighted vest or weight belt, but full on heavy barbells. This is basically just weight training rather than callisthenics.

The guy at 2:12 is using fake weights. They bounce of off the like a toy, it doesn't shake the camera at all and it shoots up way too high compared to the height he dropped it from. The guy at 2:41 drops much lighter weight and you can immediately she the difference.

What exactly makes this calisthenics? This is classic barbell training + one fake jump out of water. Since this is just barbell training you could show almost any competitive powerlifter/olympic weightlifter, since they're way stronger in this.

I agree the term calisthenic cause he's purposefully choosing the worst position to lift himself from the ground and he make it harder with weight. It's not like he's chosing the best position to lift as much weight as possible like a typical weightlifter does.

Been training calisthenics for 1-2 months. Its sad but it's still difficult to do a full pistol squat. I can do half easily. In other basics, it's still the same. Haven't mastered a single one except l-shit hold properly

Maybe it's just me, but when I'm looking at the part in 1:45 when he is doing those jumps in the small confined space with all the glass windows next to him, I can't help but to think that maybe this guy isn't the sharpest pencil in the box. It's a nice video and kudos to the guy for doing all that stuff, but a lot of it just seemed unnecessarily dangerous and stupid.

I'm yet to see a proper weighted pistol sq of this guy - pretty sure it'd be impressive (with about -10kg on the barbell, though; repositioning the leg before the concentric part should be considered cheating). 1:42 is not that difficult ;) I was most impressed by the last clip, I believe.

This particular athlete surely has potential to push limits, and that's exactly why I'd prefer to witness a more proper form (deadweight-leg in front of you the whole time). Unless you mean 1:42 - if so, then it's you who should try it out, because it really is surprisingly easy.
