About Yihwa mistaking Viole(Bam) for a girl, the joke kinda made more sense in the webtoon because: 1.There are no voice acting, so we assumed Viole just had androgynous voice tone 2. Viole being Bam gets revealed way later in the webtoon, even the readers didn't know who Viole was at the time. So a person covering all their body with a robe and a long hair being confused for a woman made more sense. As for why Anime revealed Viole to be Bam in episode 1 would be because webtoon has been out for years so people either read it or got spoiled on it. It wouldn't be enjoyable to watch anime pretending to not know who Viole is for the whole season. Also, since anime has voice acting, people would have figured it out sooner even for the anime-onlys. Lastly, when this part of webtoon came out, people were really confused. As it seemed like no character from season 1 was returning. Some people dropped the series after that. All the Viole's flashbacks in the anime are anime original. So we know it is a continuation of the Bam's story. But back when webtoon was releasing these parts, people actually believed that the author was going to change around protagonists every few floors.

A Regular is anyone chosen by Headon and allowed to climb the tower. An Irregular is anyone from outside the tower who entered on their own. So Bam is both a Regular and an Irregular.

@@kiddo7765 Technically, Headon tells Rachel that she wasn't the one chosen by the tower, though she is considered an irregular. She didn't have the power to open the gate herself, but she was still let in before Bam opened the gate. And Bam's desire to follower her so badly is why the tower chose him. Then Headon manipulates Rachel in a way that eventually gives Bam motivation to climb the tower. So I'm pretty sure the implication is that Headon did choose Bam, but had to use alternate methods to get him to come and want to climb. But more so, unless Bam requests an administrator's test, he does have to participate in the regular testing system to ascend floors in the inner tower, and, SPOILERS, after passing floor 20 obtains E-rank regular status and is permitted to enter the regular districts in the tower where only regulars are allowed to operate. And later in the Manhwa there are times he's referred to as a regular even when he's just amongst friends and not trying to hide the fact that he is an irregular. It's not explicitly stated, but it seems like ever since Jahad became king and implemented the regular testing system, all irregulars who climb the tower are subject to and designated with the regular rankings until they become a high ranker.

For Simplicity, and just to clarify, You can be both a regular and irregular at once "kinda". Regular means you are someone who is in the tower climbing, as such Baam is a regular. If you go more specific, a regular is someone who has been chosen by Headon to climb, as such Baam is not a regular in this sense. Irregular means you are from the outside. So people even knowing he's an irregular, will call him a Regular to signify he is still climbing the tower, and more specifically to indicate rank (Last episode Wagnan says if you pass the 20th floor you become a D-rank regular, most people glanced over this, but there are higher ranks leading up to becoming a Ranker.) I do not know why they decided on Irregular for the name (probably for naming conventions) when Unchosen/ "members who have not been chosen" (this is the translation of the title) sounded so much cooler back in the day (not official translations but still...)

The one thing I dislike about the anime vs the manhwa is the lack of a clear line between the rankers and the regulars. Rankers climbed TO THE TOP of the tower. Love looks cute and pudgy, but bro's wayy stronger than the entire group is put together. Don't forget the explanation in season 1 of passing the shinsu wall, the higher floors are many magnitudes denser than the wall is. Just imagine the density of shinsu at the top floors, and the strength needed to be resistant to it.
