With the ammo changes my beloved berthier will become weaker

You forget, the berthier is the only bolt action that can take 2 ammo pools. You throw spitzer or incendiary (now that it's better) on your second slot, and you can pull from all 3 red crates at a wagon as well as the purple, so that's 8 bullets instead of six, AND ammo crates can potentially return 5+5 bullets per use instead of just 5. As the long prevailing argument in mosin v. lebel was "ammo economy" in favor of the mosin, the berthier stands poised to become *the* meta weapon.

@@AMediumSizedKodiak once you know how to use avto, aka watch someone like hornet or rachhta use it, its ridiculously powerful. sparks pistol for anything longe range and then use your sound and awareness to wallbang + wallbang peekers because you WILL be able to kill them. its a lot of fun imo, but I understand so many people getting frustrated it. I for one so much dont get frustrated with avto, i get annoyed a hundred times more with people who sit around with shotguns or snipers who you dont even get to see or hear before you die, at least you hear an avto player from the other side of the map

The Mosin is bassicaly the more expensive upgraded version of the lebel, but the lebel is a very solid gun as is and is one of my favorites if im not trying to bye the lebel, the krag is also a very solid gun

On my 3-4 star matches the mosin seems a little bit too much. I really enjoy the gunfights in the mid MMR and so i use things like silenced Winnie with good success. When i use a Mosin it feels like fighting horsewagons with a tank or something. Hard to explain but i am not a big fan of the Mosin for some reason.

The Gewehr 98 didn’t exist yet and the Gewehr 88 wasn’t very good because it was a rushed job to catch up with the Lebel which blew everyone’s mind with smokeless powder ammunition. So it’d be between a gun largely considered inferior to the Lebel and the Gewehr 71 which is a very outdated black powder single shot. If they did add the Gewehr 98 as a prototype or something it would 100% be the best bolt action in the game as it has larger rounds than the Mosin Nagant and a substantially smoother bolt.
