The struggle is real! Trying to find your first summer job is hard! Today our teen is trying to find her first summer job and so far, it's all no's! But she's not quitting! She's going to keep searching until she finds a job! But that's not the only thing we do today! We go to Shark Wake park and the kids play on the Aqua park and wakeboard! The weather is beautiful! So then we go to the beach, South Florida beaches are packed for Spring Break, but we find some room on the sand! Some of us play in the ocean, and some of us layout to get tan!

I started working at barely 15 at McDonald's and three years later, I'm still here! I switched locations about a year ago but it's super easy once you get the hang of it and it teaches you great life skills dealing with customers and working in a fast-paced environment.

I agree! McDonald's is such a great place to work when you need flexibility. They work around your schedule and the job can be really fun when you work with your friends. It also makes for great talking points in career job interviews. I loved my 3 years there in high school.

Evie might like housekeeping for the summer. That was my first job when I was a teen, you make really good tips and you don’t have to deal with cranky customers…you’re usually alone or with one other person for the day. It keeps you physical, good money, and most of the time you can wear your headphones and listen to music!

It's just so wild to me that people can just "swing by" the beach. Realistically I know people live near or at the beach but its just crazy to me who has lived in Ohio my whole life and has only been on a trip to the beach like 5-6 times ever.

Where I live in Australia it’s a 5 minute walk for me to go to the beach so I’m very lucky but I am also so jealous of people who get to experience cold winters and snow because that’s not something I have ever experienced.

If Evie needs any recommendations on makeup removing products, she can try the Neutrogena Melting Balm. I have been using it for almost a year now, and it still works wonders. You just wet your hands a bit and rub it in, then rinse. It removes my mascara soooo easily!

I work at Hydrous Wakeboard park during the summer I have absolutely loved it, it’s such a fun job and I think if Evie can get it during the summer 100% take it!! It’s given me such a fun and great group of people!

I worked at American Eagle for 2+ years and loved it!! there’s even a position to be an in-store influencer (which you get payed to create content and post in addition to free clothes each month) which Evie would be great at!

Anemia can cause bruises. I had really bad anemia when I was younger and I got bruises and headaches. Women are more likely to have anemia than men because they have periods and they lose blood during periods. I had to get on some intense iron pills because my doctor said my levels were intensely low. I would recommend getting her blood work done or going to see a doctor about it because it could be something more serious. Doing sports can also lower your iron level and worsen anemia if you don’t keep up with the appropriate amount of iron you need daily. Which would be a bit extra for someone who does sports. But I wouldn’t just try to introduce more iron into your diet because some anemia problems can only be fixed by pills and the keeping track of your diet after the pill treatment prescribed by a doctor. I would definitely recommend getting all of your daughters blood work done at least yearly as women are more susceptible, especially women doing sports since they need to use more nutrients from their body. If your blood work comes back with anemia problems I would recommend drinking an nutrition shake like Ensure or just making a veggie smoothie in the morning with orange juice and kale and spinach. That is how I keep my levels from going down. And I get my blood checked regularly just to make sure I am doing a good job.

I am struggling to find my first job too, I am 18 and in England, and It is so hard as I have been rejected from so many! (technically it is my 2nd job but my 1st wasn't in a normal work environment so I don't count it), It frustrates me as people want trained workers but how do they expect to get trained workers when no one is willing to train people! good luck on your job hunt though.

Barista at Star bucks other terms a drink maker at Starbucks, bath and body works sales associate, life guard, child care aid, bus girl,dishwasher, Movie theater concession stand, summer camp counselor. These are just some ideas. You'll land a job I know it
