I had a dream last night, and I saw Romans 7:15 very vividly in the Bible. I woke up, it was 7am in the morning and I quickly looked up what it has to say. I feel God, is sending me some sort of a message, I just need help figuring it out.

Gabriele, thanks for the comment. I'd say that the Lord is simply impressing upon your heart the struggle we all face with our fleshly desires. Those desires will never want to obey God and we feel the shame and condemnation of failure when it happens. Paul resorts that It's only through Jesus' work on the cross that I can be free to live victoriously. (Romans 7:25). I encourage you to keep reading through Romans 8. Romans 7 points out the struggle. Romans 8 shows us the victorious Christian life.

I do not understand what I do. For what I want to do I do not do, but what I hate I do. It's so hard trying to figure that question out. It's something that bothers me down to the bones and makes me sick at heart.

there is a reality that our fleshly tendencies and desires will never follow the Lord. This body is under the sin curse. Our hope is in what's to come. The cross took care of sin's penalty, the grave shattered sin's power, and when we get to heaven sin's presence will be gone for good! Keep your eyes on Jesus and His grace. Confess your failures to Him and allow His Spirit to give you the strength to press on striving for holiness.

Mrs. Bartlett, How we all feel that struggle. Our fleshly natural desires always go contrary to what God wants. Thank God for amazing grace and wonderful forgiveness that never ends. It's good that you still feel that sting from sin and it bothers you. Just goes to show you that the Spirit of God is in your life and working. Keep pressing into God's Word and Jesus!

Tobit 4:13,23 [13]Take care to keep yourself, my son, from all fornication, and, except for your wife, never permit yourself to know such an offense. [23]Do not be afraid, my son. We do indeed lead a poor life, but we will have many good things: if we fear God, and withdraw from all sin, and do what is good."

If Paul is writing Romans 7 as a Christian and his struggle against sin, then had the "law of the spirit of life in Christ set him free from the law of sin and death"? Apparently not. Paul makes it clear the Christian died to the Law in Christ's death.
