My cousin and I made up a language too! It was called Firijari Firijari and it was very similar to Wachi Wachi. We also added "-ation"to every Spanish word to magically make it English. Calor became Caloration and Pierna became Piernation lol

As a middle school ESL teacher for beginners only, this makes me laugh so hard. Watched this at least 10 times. This is ALL my sweet, terribly-confused babies. Thank you for using laughter to help get this over-worked teacher through her week, even when the sweet, terribly-confused babies are being little butthead preteen malcriados. ❤️

I was born in the US but my parents are From Cuba/Colombia so I didn't start learning English until I got to school at like 4 ish years old. My mom says that I would add -ation to Spanish words and hat was my Verizon of English haha So like "bread" was "panation" and so on and so forth~ Also, my sister and I played with barbies all the time!! My grandma ( may she rest in peace) collected dolls and was always buying us barbies so we wracked up quite the collection! We came up with very elaborate games with complex story lines and we'd make them clothes and accessories ah~ those were the days :')

I raised my kids in the neighborhood I grew up in. Anyways I used to be upstairs and hear the tv come on. I would yell downstairs didn't I tell you kids to go outside and play. My kids would tell me they had been. This one day this little kid was sitting and watching tv. I didn't understand what he was saying. It turned out the foster mom was telling him to go see if he could play with my kids, but her spanish wasn't that good and He just thought she was telling him to go to my house. Hell I didn't mind he was the only one that picked up the toys and put them away. plus his snack papers. wow it has been a lot of years sonce then, I wonder how he is and if he went into a good home. He started really learning english and he had a sad story, but was a great kid.

I could relate to this video so much. I also came to this country when I was 7 years old and didn't speak a word of English (I wish I could speak wachi wachi, but I wasn't as lucky as you Laura). I also wanted to play with Barbie dolls but wasn't allowed to because, well, I'm a boy but that's another story lol 😂

I spent a summer in Puerto Rico with my grandparents and their neighbor had a daughter my age that I spent time with. I was like 7 or 8 and by that time had forgotten a lot of the Spanish I had growing up because school ruined me and my grandparents moved back to Puerto Rico, so we had trouble understanding each other. But we got better as the summer went on or I would yell next door to have my nana translate. I showed her my fav snack, saltines with butter and she showed me Clarita. It was a wonderful friendship until she had to go back to school and couldn't play with me anymore. I found out later that my mom wanted to leave me in Puerto Rico, but I got homesick and begged to come home.

your shirt matching the background decorations = gives me life .... makes me high on oxygen and stuff... not weird or anything. Oh and barbies, yeah i had three, used to give them radical "looks", specially the hair.. that thing never lasted long with me, i used to end up knitting them wigs and stuff, good times.

This girl in my apartment complex in El Paso (live in Kansas now ) had this fancy white trunk where she stored all her Barbies so EFFING NEATLY and it fit snuggly under the bed she shared with her sister and I wanted to be just like her. Hell, I liked seeing the Barbies and their belongings stored so neatly almost as much as I liked playing with them 🤔 Also, one of my favorite things to do was cut out food from grocery store ads and glue it to cardboard and stock my Barbie Kitchen with it. Sadly, when we had to abruptly move to Kansas, my Barbies had to be left behind in “storage.” I spent every Saturday after that trying to when the Barbie sweepstakes that aired during Saturday morning cartoons. $200 worth of stuff could be all mine! When I grew up I ordered all the 90’s Barbie stuff off EBAY for my daughter. Man, what we’ll do for a damn Barbie!

OMG .-. this reminded me so much my childhood. I was a weird little girl with no friends or cousins or neighbors of my age when I started school, I was only around my family and other adults, so I was really polite and well educated, adults loved me, children hated me tho xD so I was one of the unpopular childs in school, my only friend was this other weird spoiled little girl, and we were friends only because no one else will make friends with us. But bright side was she had every Barbie/toy/snack a girl could dream of. Their parents were rich af, or at least at my age and economical level they seem rich af to me! Every kid in school assisted to her birthday parties not because they liked her, but because she would have the coolest parties with clowns, and ponies, and face paint, and candies... But she was SO ANNOYING, basically a brat, but in my 6 year old head I really didn't give a fuck! I loved going to her house, but I didn't like her that much 😂... Now I think it's horrible, but back in the day we didn't have a lot to pick from so...

Pfft we went to the thrift stores to buy my Barbies and I had tons of them. However we did buy new ones and they were the special/protagonist Barbies. I also had tons of stuffed animals. Actually it's weird that I had a lot of toys during my school age considering my parents started from zero. Blessed 💕
