He played great but that game was won by the defence more than skinner. Hes a good goalie but he gets beat high glove side too much to be considered great.

The stats does not tell the whole story, on paper that Kings look like dominated over Oilers but in reality that Kings have not tried very hard to create more high danger chances because they were all crowded the neutral zone by not giving any breakthrough chances for the Oilers. However it also means that Kings have very little rush chances and was mostly just dumping pucks at Skinner and hope for the best. 33 shots but very few of those shots are actually threatening Skinner. Still, Skinner made all the saves that he needed.

That's the danger of a team playing 1-3-1 hockey. They're built to protect a lead that they got off their defensive scheme. Once they're behind, they're confused if the opponent just dumps it.

Yeah the oilers defensive workrate and discipline was very impressive this game, LA did not have a lot of good chances, saying oilers were completely outplayed is not true imo

They gave up 33 shots, but there were no breakaways or odd-man rushes for him to stop. The one rebound that would have been an easy tap in Ceci cleared befor ethe King could reach it.

Low score but still very fast paced and exciting. On to Vegas again where the Oilers need more of that solid goaltending. Another exciting series.

​@@d2c341Probably colorado. They have looked really good and adapted to Winnepeg well and just lit up Helleybuck I would like to see re match in the conference finals of Colorado VS Oilers. It would be electric. I would also like it to go 7 games and for the Oilers to win. Y'know, reminds me of the 2018 Capitals cup run when they finally beat the Penguins.

I don't think the Kings outplayed the Oilers at all in this game. sure they got back to playing "Their" game but the Oilers just proved they've already solved the Kings. low scoring games don't scare us anymore and the Defense is something to be proud of in this squad.

This wasn’t a great game by skinner. Why do people just look at stats and that’s it? Watch every shot the kings took and tell me how many shots were there a screen in? Literally 0, kings lost because of no screens in front of the net and that’s the only reason.
