This is such great music it really needs to be released on a CD or DVD.

Stumbled into this and WHOA! Hey, I was just searching for some Hadley Hockensmith. I wasn't expecting a full-on Jesus jazz-blues throwdown! Smokin' hot, virtually unknown masters of music throwing it down, seemingly effortlessly, making greasyback beats, lucius thick rhythms, and sickeningly hot solos. So far, I'm at 4:09.

Phil I realize you don’t know me from Adam’s apple 🍎 but over 40 years ago I when I joined my my high school band the trumpet 🎺 was the instrument I played but years and wear on my vocal chords and now dealing with COPD doubt I could carry a tune in the bucket probably could bang the buckets better than blow a trumpet 🎺. I told Wille Nelson some years back that if for some reason God took his voice he could walk out on a stage with his guitar and never sing but the moment that guitar 🎸 started I would know it was him because he has such a unique guitar 🎸 and there’s none that I know have that distinct sound. Why when I saw you play at the funeral it was not so much your voice but there was only one I knew could play trumpet 🎺 like you. Some days it fails my memory has caused me to forget times and events but as I said I’ve listen to you on radio, tv, cd’s just like with myself time makes memories go opposite directions but when you brought that horn up I knew it was you. I listen to Darlene all time but lost track of you or vice versa but I can see when you play God is speaking through it just your voice but your instrument of the Lord. I pray soon one of my dying wishes would just be to come hear you perform. I’m just s nobody to ma y but I am a child of the King on most high. What a great honor to hear you perform. Your music has such conviction and depth that if one walks away it’s like turning your back on the talent God created you for. Thank for such mountain moving it’s like saying I’m coming to proclaim my mountain Lord so if it be your will make all things possible because all things are possible through God

great music indeed. I didn´t even know that Hadley Hockensmith was still playing, heard him last time in the 80`ties with Koinonia. All are playing really great here. such a pleasure.
@timothybailey2119 Жыл бұрын
Hadley also did a stint with David Gates/Bread in the early 80's, then spent 25+ years backing Neil Diamond. Prior to Koinonia he did a lot of studio work for Maranatha Studios (ex: Kelly Willard, Keith Green) and prior to that he toured with Andre Crouch, as I recall...

I didn't really enjoy it as well and I'm a huge Freddie King fan. This was too jazzy and too many instruments taking solos.
