Why would SMG4 make his version connected to the SMG4 Universe??? With Mario BLJing to the Mario Movie Universe in SMG4's RV! Why can't he just do this 🙌? Ok, let me be honest with you. I really love this video, man. It gives me some good classic SMG4 vibes. I think the reason why modern SMG4 doesn’t have that spark it used to have back then was because of the Perfect Video Arc, where the more SMG4 tried to be perfect, the more it took away from what drew people to the channel in the first place. It’s like what Robbie Rist said in an interview with James Rolfe, “the people who like this stuff don’t need very much”, that doesn’t mean SMG4 can’t do other great projects, I mean, take projects like Meta Runner, Sunset Paradise, Murder Drones, and the upcoming Digital Circus for example, those show that SMG4 can evolve better, because those projects were different genres that suited them more, SMG4(the series) on the other hand is meant to be like a goofy comedy, kinda like Ren & Stimpy, or The Patrick Star Show, so trying to incorporate the elements of their other projects into the SMG4 series took more away from what drew people to the channel in the first place. Seeing this channel keep the sanctity of classic SMG4 alive just warms my heart even more. Keep up the good work, theawesomario Revamped

In fact, a comic series I’m working on (and this comic series is on my Instagram), Nickelodeon All Star After Hours, is another big example, where I have it be episodic and funny, with some form of continuity, the Christmas special was still keeping that formula of being episodic and funny with continuity, as it didn’t need a compelling story, all it just needed was something simple, like staying home for the holidays and having fun, like a Muppet Family Christmas. The only time I wanted to tell a compelling story is with the season 2 special, “Who Spongenapped SpongeBob SquarePants?”, but it wasn’t like “it’s gotta be perfect” perfect, it was like The Super Mario Bros Movie perfect, where it’s a simple odyssey like up in the veins of Shrek, and The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie. Sometimes things don’t have to be super complicated and complex, sometimes it just has to be simple, crowd pleasing, and entertaining.
