feels like you are putting too fine point on it. it is certainly selfish and the results are evil, but not deliberately evil in the sense of "I am gonna ruin some kids lives" it's more like "I am gonna get my rocks off and whatever happens to other people happens" so more a callously evil that a deliberately evil. it comes more out of an inability to care about others when you want something, than a desire to specifically do evil. they just don't care about anyone other than themselves (or lie to themselves that everyone will enjoy it, to be able to look into a mirror, but that is basically the same thing as not caring about others) but I don't think they ever had a decision: "I choose team evil" I think they did evil while trying to be selfish because they didn't care if they were doing evil to get there. actually, maybe I am the one putting too fine a point on it. I guess it depends how pedantic you want to be and maybe I am more so that you are. No offense meant. I have known some people who were definitely deliberately evil, so possibly why I put these To Catch a Predator guys in a different category. These were people who were more about inflicting hardship on others than a blind pursuit of their forbidden fantasies. People you never turn your back on and get away from ASAP.

A lot of people don't realise how common this nasty stuff is.. or how siblings can molest younger siblings and never get justice for it because that's your brother or sister and you don't want to say anything because you don't want them to get in trouble and you still love them. It causes so much confusion later on in life depending on what age it happened to you and your family dinamic. It's kind of an unspoken thing that you have to overcome internally but also struggle with daily if you have mental illnesses and can't comprehend how a family member could violate you that way. Makes it to where you literally trust noone. Not even yourself. I've never outwardly spoken about my csa by my sister. I've been diagnosed with agoraphobia while also struggling with multiple auto immune illnesses. But my siblings are in good health. It's hard to stay positive. Any kind of real SA is very traumatic.. it's been 20 years and I had supressed it from my mind but I'll be 31 this month and it effects me now more than ever.

Doesn't shock me that those two ended up in the same jail cell. They typically have to keep these kind of inmates separated from everyone else to reduce the odds of them being jumped. Most inmates aren't too pleased when they find out what guys like this were arrested for.
