I've had my OP 12 for a couple of weeks and really like it. The curved screen isn't an issue for me-while not a plus, it hasn't cause any problems either. I use a case, as I expect most people do, and have had zero accidental touches. I'm glad the phone came with a screen protector pre-applied; if I'd had to put one on myself, I might not be neutral about the curved screen. I found the comment about the flat color profile surprising. The colors just look natural to me-neither muted nor over-saturated.

I compared the colours side by side with my oneplus 9, and even if the 9 is still a great phone, the 12 has it easily beat. I tried watching a 4K HDR test on the phone and I was blown away, it looks so beautiful!

I've been using OnePlus phones for a little over 7 years. While the fingerprint scanner on the 6T was a bit slow, I found that the fingerprint scanner on the 11 and 12 works very well. On my old 6T, if the fingerprint scanner seems slow, I would just rescan my fingerprints. But in the year that I had my OnePlus 11, that was never an issue. And now it's even better with the 12. I work with my hands, and at times I'll have calluses or skin abrasions. So I'm used to having to rescan if need be

I switched to it from an Xperia 1 iii. The battery life is insane. I used to struggle to get one day, now I can almost get 3. For my use case, there are some MASSIVE flaws though... first being the lack of google assistant call screening. It was a feature I used constantly and now it's gone. Second, the speakers on this phone sound horrible compared to my old Xperia. Maybe that's saying more about the Xperia.. but it's a huge let down. The min vol is also too loud on the 1+12. My final issue is the curved display. It just looks and feels worse than a flat display. I don't really understand why they insist on it.

I've been using the OnePlus 12 for a couple of weeks now and I absolutely love it. Truthfully, I feel like they got everything in the design correct the first time. Personally, I love the curved glass. It is far more ergonomic and easier to hold than a flat slab Flintstone phone. Furthermore, curved glass has a far more premium look. Simply put, there's nothing long in the tooth about the design. It's ergonomic and it makes sense. I would also like to add how much I love the look of the camera module. It's different and it sets them apart from other manufacturers. It's impossible to gain brand recognition when your device blends in and looks like every other device. Again, the design language makes total sense.

Even Gsmarena and Tom's guide acknowledged this in their latest reviews but Samsung has not yet acknowledged this. Display experts are attributing this to be a hardware problem. Customers are crying in different social media platforms for the replacement but the replacement units have the same problem. I need the best display for watching multimedia content. So l ordered the OP 12. This time OP didn't buy the display from Samsung for the green line issue instead bought it from BOE and BOE and OP researched 2 years in making this display. Brothers...how is the display...please give ur honest opinions...Love from lndia.

i took a chance by ordering early before all the reviews were up and getting the preorder bonuses. Forget sub-$1000, there is no phone that could match the $650 price point I got... for the higher end model (16/512GB) plus a free wireless fast charger. I fear every phone I look at for the next 5 years will feel like a rip-off.

Im sure its a great phone but i had to return both the op10 pro and op11 because it would not work with android auto. Never had a problem with any of my pixels or samsungs. Even the xperia 1IV connected right away. Thats just a deal breaker for me. Hopefully the worked out that issue on this model.

Only downsides I see are the curved glass (if they cant figure out the ghost touches), optic fingerprint sensor, and the fewer OS updates. Besides that, i see a winner for the price.
@Eihei9 ай бұрын
Eh, I wouldn't necessarily call photos from OP12 "oversharpened", especially if we compare those to Samsung which is the main offender here. Also the fast and reliable shutter does a lot of the difference. By the way the lack of bullshit ai "features" for which I would have to pay in the future is actually a plus for me, especially since most probably most of those will be embedded in future android versions anyway.

What I've been seeing on this phone I like. I've always had Samsung and want to move away from them when my S21 needs to be replaced. This phone looks powerful and the price definitely beats Samsung. I've never bought a phone from anywhere other than a carrier store but I'm sure I can figure out how to activate it on Verizon without much trouble.

The OnePlus 12 is very good but I’m surprised the OnePlus 12R does a lot of what this phone does at a much cheaper price. Most people would be happier with the impressive 12R at the cheaper price
@J.Wick.9 ай бұрын
No arguing that honestly. The 12R almost got me to switch from the 12 when I was buying it. I hadn't done enough home work on the R though at that point, and didn't wanna lose out on the free wireless charger with my 12. The R is more phone than probably 75% of people need, and $3-499. OnePlus got me back with the 12. I was there from day One withe the One, 3T, and 5T. Then OneUI poached me away for a bit.

Yeahhhhhhhhhh I'm in the same boat. I went with the 12 but I'm already kinda starting to wish I went with the 12r. 😂 Like this is a great phone and it's got all the bells and whistles but the 12r is the better buy.
@J.Wick.9 ай бұрын
@@adamrush8360 better buy is arguable depending on what you need. I don't regret anything about the 12. It's amazing. It's the best non "Ultra" phone there is right now IMO. There's no topping the Ultra honestly, no topping it's price either however. If they (OP) could offer a software backed, integrated stylus, and a desktop mode like Dex...at an approachable price, even on a foldable, I'd have no need for future Samsungs.

I sent my OnePlus 12 back for a refund, the clock on the lock screen and the notification shade is unusable because OnePlus made a stupid decision to make the hour digits deep red when they are '1'. Everyone is complaining about it, I went though the OnePlus support channels and this was the reply I received: `I would like to kindly inform you that the red number 1 is a tribute to our brand, it's part of OnePlus logo. It always been red for number one in OnePlus clocks. Therefore, you can rest assured the clock is not broken. This is a default feature and it cannot be changed.` My current phone is a OnePlus 3T, and it does not have an unreadable red clock. Why no-one mentions this in reviews is beyond me as being able to quickly tell the time is basic functionality. Community posted workarounds do not work. I'm not rooting my phone and breaking my banking apps and google pay to try and fix it myself.

curved edges and the comically enormous camera bump are putting me off the op12. why do all the chinese OEMs make their phones have absurd camera clusters? they could have easily just put small metal rings around the lenses like samsung does.

And what is that green color bottle shaped thing you got there. Thats interesting.what is that? And you're right with the display colors, in the effort of making everything like camera images, display colors true to life, they have over done it by really removing the colors. Trying really hard to give an experience of true tone and unsaturated looks. They need to slow down with it.

One plus will never be a true flagship killer until they are in carriers in the USA most people buy on payment plans in usa they don't have $1000 to drop on a phone.
@friedpickle98288 ай бұрын
I mean, $1,000 isn't exactly a lot these days. Put it on a credit card. I do agree with you however, the carrier stores provide exposure for brands which is an issue for OnePlus.

did you transfer your old phone apps and settings to the new phone by using clone phone? If thats the case you need to factory reset and manually add the older apps in your phone. The reason is that when you use clone phone you port your settings and tweaks to the new phone and itll be inefficient as whatever bad settings you have in your older phone will get adopted in the new phone.
@adamrush83609 ай бұрын
It could be a bad battery but at the same time, I'd review the battery settings on the phone. OnePlus has a menu that shows you suggestions on how to get better battery life. Go through those and see if it helps but I do concur with the previous comment that if that doesn't resolve the issue, factory reset and try to manually add the apps back. If that still doesn't work, I do believe you have a defective unit.
@AluCloud9 ай бұрын
@joeeemama1906 thanks for the reply and no I didn't do any transfer. I did see online that perhaps I need to drain the battery to 0 and charge it all over again so the battery can calibrate.
