Unpopular opinion, but this was my favorite part of Subspace Emissary. Running around this huge map with all the characters you’ve met along the way trying to find and defeat the other characters before fighting Taboo. It had hints of a Metroidvania style.

@@nukiradio It's what the sticker item that randomly drops is used for. When picked up, it randomly gives you a sticker of a character/item from various games that have different effects. Like, alot of different effects, considering there's 700 different stickers. Some of those allow: (pulled from the wiki) "Every new step (i.e., every time a character goes through a door), the character will start off holding the listed item. Possible items include Beam Sword, Bob-omb, Cracker Launcher, Fan, Fire Flower, Home-Run Bat, Lip's Stick, Mr. Saturn, Ray Gun, Star Rod, and Super Scope; there is only one sticker for each item." This reminds me of my first run through it. I just got the game and was still learning to play it properly. I finished the Great Maze within 15 minutes. I later improved my time when I got the hang of the game.

Characters' attributes were changed in Subspace. Faster characters run slower, and slower characters run faster.
