There’s now a popular meme when she’s asked to smile after her teeth fell out in the hallway and she does it closed lips. That single image captures so much. Lol.

I saw this film 4 times at the theater. Most of these KZbinrs who are reacting to this film at home, I wish they watched it at the theater first. The way they're reacting is the way the audience at the theater reacted. That's how much fun it was to see in a theater with other people. A film like this has to be experienced at the movie theater. It's just not the same at home. This is my favorite movie of the year, and to me, Demi Moore gave the best performance of 2024.

I hate to go to movie theaters. Too much people, some talking, eating and their sounds distract me from the movie I am watching. And you can't even stop the movie for going to the toilette. Plus my living room is much more beautiful and there is more comfort.

The question I had was, what would happen if the older self stopped hopping for a while, but kept supplying the food to the young self? Are the young versions shelf stable? Or would the expire as well? I ask because the young version not only requires the food supplement, but the stabilizer fluid is far more important to their survival.

I saw this in the theater with very little knowledge of what I was getting into. I did not expect all of that. It’s def not a movie I need to keep seeing lol. But I like seeing other ppls reaction to it. It’s visually and audibly excellent! I also thought it could have been shorter. After she blew up the first time and it kept going I was like, “alright. Let’s wrap this up”

This is my favorite movie of the year and hopefully it will be awarded. But all these reactions damn. how can you watch this fior the first time and have to talk over... come on.... watch and then re-watch to do your youtube video LOL. It is a sacrilege to ruin the substance cinematic experience.
@Ming348413 күн бұрын
I see where you're coming from but, the thing that makes reactions interesting, at least to some of us, is the actual 1st time reaction. We know how we felt and now want to see how others feel on the first watch. Then watching it before would make it more of a commentary than a reaction. I know though that some people would rather them see it first.

even though Sue was technically a clone of Elisabeth, but she's not an exact copy, Sue is suppose to be a younger "better" version of Elisabeth, but she has her own separate consciousness, her own distinct personality and motivations. When one of them is conscious, the other one who is unconscious does not remember or know what the conscious half is doing, until they wake up. That's why Liz and Sue refer to each other as "she" or "her" instead of "us" or "me", they regard each other as 2 separate people, even though they are one, and in many ways they are like 2 different people, even though Sue's a clone, but she's only a clone physically, mentally they're very different separate people. Same with the old man and his younger self, it was his younger self who introduced Liz to the substance, not the old man himself, the old man tried to warn Liz about the danger of using the substance because he regretted using the substance on himself after his younger self had drained him out of most of his life and vitality.

The more I see these reactions after having watched it in theaters, the more I think that Elisabeth and Sue are actually one consciousness. When is Elisabeth is in her young body as Sue, she is drunk on ego and self-confidence and hates her old body for how it makes her feel and act. When she switches back to her older body, she begins to grow jealous of the opportunities and love she’s afforded simply by being younger and more beautiful. Things that were taken away from her because she aged. As the resentment grows while she’s in each body, Elizabeth begins to minimize her involvement in self-harm as she abuses each body while in the other, calling the other body “she/her”. Only when she is curtly reminded by the man on the phone does she snap back to reality, realizing that she is the one abusing herself. Immediately after this is when she bangs her head in the shower, saying to herself, “Stop it, stop it, stop it..” Sorry. This is so long. 😅
