The Subways sind ein Live-Erlebnis, ihr explosiver, teils hymnischer Rocksound und ihre wilde Bühnenpräsenz begeistern seit mehr als 15 Jahren Fans auf der ganzen Welt. 2005 gründeten Billy, Charlotte und Josh die Band - Durchschnittsalter gerade mal 16 - und erlangen über Nacht internationale Bekanntheit mit ihrem Debütalbum „Young For Eternity“.
Die Single „Rock’n’Roll Queen“ ist auch heute noch fester Bestandteil jeder Partyplaylist - fast 60 Millionen Streams allein auf Spotify sprechen eine klare Sprache. Mit Auftritten in der Serie „O.C. California“ und dem Guy Ritchie-Film „Rock N Rolla“ sammelte die Band weitere Fans ein.
2022 erscheint das fünfte Studioalbum der Briten - und so viele Meriten sie sich auch mit ihren bisherigen Aufnahmen erspielt haben, zuvorderst sind The Subways eine Band, die auf eine Bühne muss. Das sehen sie selbst ebenso: „Es gibt nichts Besseres auf der Welt, als live zu spielen. Und das werden wir machen bis wir umfallen. Die Menschen auf der ganzen Welt tanzen und singen zu sehen, zu den Songs die du geschrieben hast, das ist die beste Droge die es je geben könnte.“
Ob vor 100 oder 250.000 Leuten, die Shows des Trios sind immer umwerfend.

I've seen them live 15 years ago... and it was one of the best live concerts I've ever seen, because of their amazing intense energy and stage presence! And now I watch this video 15 years later and they are still exactly the same! Like they're not ageing... this must be true passion! How amazing!!! :D

The Subways are one of my favorite bands, and i 've seen them for the first time live, in the lovely Rotown venue in Rotterdam last year. I simply love the fact that you can see a good liveband with great music still in such a small venue, take a short look at the setlist and realise that you are having a good time. They are absolutely worth it to blew my ears to trash :D and, YES, you are my rock and roll queen. This is a personal favorite..
