Josh wasn’t an alternate. Rob has said on the podcast that he wasn’t chosen for BB. Josh was chosen over Rob, and survivor contacted Rob after that.

My ex boyfriend had this manager he knew that was supposed to be on Big Brother 1 and he went through all the casting and two weeks before they called him to tell him they were replacing him with Chicken George. I don’t think a lot of people know that and I forget what the guys name was.

I think McCrae was a pretty big part of Season 15. Him Amanda and Andy kinda ran the whole season until Andy turned. He was also an underrated comp beast winning 2 HOHs and 3 Vetos.

The first ever Big Brother winner in my home country was also an alternate, who was only added to the cast the week before the show aired, after the network suddenly decided to do an eviction on day 3 just before the first round of nominations, which meant increasing the number of initial houseguests from 11 to 12 in order to keep a final three at the finale.

kaycee and Josh on the show probably wouldve helped Ian's game out because they were winners and Memphis wouldnt have been in the house to help cody out. BB3 Josh didn't have good placement and wasn't very well-liked, but he made his mark on the season and pretty much set up the power structures and events that would take place during the season, even after he was gone. Id call that a success.

The alternates of any season are more than likely true super fans, as they are the only ones willing to wait around with the slim chance to make it in. We should aim to cancel any recruits preseason so that the Superfan waiting in sequester gets their moment
