10:00 this is so true. When i came to US 15 years ago. I watched each and every Nepali movie available on KZbin including almost all of Jai Kishan Basnet movies because since me and my ancestors were from Kathmandu and had spent 18 years of my life before coming to US there, I felt so much nostalgic about those cramped alleys, that wonderful chaos, the simple and laid back way every thing happens in Kathmandu.

But movie makers don't have any idea. You can understand the condition of Nepalese movie industry, when a bhutanese movie "Lunana: A yak in the classroom" was nominated for oscars. On the other note, when I watched the movie "The wailing" I felt that, this kind of movie can be made in nepal as well. The rural setting, drenched in cultural significance.

Sorry but if Nepalese are favouring movies like xakka panja nd jatra types of movie, it's not makers fault, its the audiences. It means audiences don't care about quality and story, they care about nepalipan and that is the factor why Nepalese movie hasn't improved.
