This film is honestly in my top 5 comic book movies ever. It embraces the ridiculousness of these characters which should be done more often in my opinion. It gives the movie more opportunities to go completely insane with its plot, which can lead to some spectacular moments.

Okay not sure if anyone else thinks this or if it’s just me but I feel like Waller knew/hoped everyone here would die for the beach mission. I have a theory she knew about Blackguard being a mole and put on the team the ones she felt were the most expendable like TDK, weasel, Javelin, and Rick Flag (whom I think she knew he’d never cooperate with keeping America’s involvement in project Starfish a secret and was hoping would be killed in the beach mission and when that didn’t work wanted him rescued before any information got into the hands of the enemy and BTW). I mean there were the jokes about the first film Boomer and Harley being odd choices but it does make sense for Waller to use Harley for that and Boomer did try and escape in the previous film and the only thing keeping from doing so is the bomb in his head.

Saw this film in a 4DX theater(Felt like a 2 hour version of the Spider-Man ride at Universal) on August 8th (since the USA got it on the 5th of August) with my mom and it was better than the 1st Suicide Squad movie! It's such a shame on how it underperformed at the box office. The movie itself was like Guardians Of The Galaxy due to James Gunn directing it but R-Rated. It was also like a homage to the 80s-90s action films! Gunn might aswell be the Russo Bros of the DC Weirdness like this film, and many more! WB, please let James Gunn direct a Green Lantern Corps film and add obscure weird characters with bigger roles.
