So awesome that we got more options. I have three questions: 1. Does the RTC work on Animal Crossing? 2. Can I set it up on MacOS? 3. Do cheat codes work?

So, I'll have to give you a quarter answer here, haha. I have read the RTC works with Animal Crossing, but I haven't tried it myself. As for MacOS, from what I can read on their github page, it can be. But again, I haven't done it myself. Lovely to see some healthy , functional competition in the flash cart space. I know a few people that more casually collect/play retro games and we were speaking recently about the Everdrive's expense (considering its age at this point as well). OpenSource paves the way for these to only get better in new revisions, and potentially cheaper too. Also great to hear your link ships to Ireland

@@DReviewTing Not unless you are a dev, or you want to send ROMs directly from your PC instead of storing them on sdcard. Also the NES/SNES/GB/GBC emulation is pretty good, though I can't see preferring it over other solutions for those games. The same flashcart menu the Summercart uses can also be run on the Everdrive 64. I haven't tried that yet to see if I prefer one cart over the other in an apples to apples comparison. Yeah, but isn't the reason the Everdrive's got so expensive, is because the guy that made them stopped after Russia invaded the Ukraine, and he had to move. So lack of supply with no lack of demand made people sell the ones they had for even more. Started making them again though. I've got an ED64 Pro, which is basically a chinese knockoff of the earlier everdrive, but it was cheap, and included a preloaded microSD card.

Download the ROMs on your phone, then transfer them via USB to a SD card adapter. If you want to get into this hobby, I highly recommend getting a PC, any PC. Whether it be a cheap pawnshop laptop or a $200 mini PC. Really comes in handy for file transfer and "finding" ROMs online. And I like to test the games I "found" on emulators, to make sure it's a good rip or dump of a ROM/ISO. So it's good to have a PC that can do basic console emulation well.

SC64 just had a firmware update a few days ago, and the N64FlashcartMenu project is also under active development. I wouldn't say the SC64 is in any way a less quality project or a lesser alternative to an X7. The real benefit of the SC64 is that you, or anyone, can build it yourself, iterate upon it, or contribute to the code base to improve it. Summercart also has much faster usb-transfer speed (also being usb-c instead of micro-usb though to be fair the ED64 has existed for much longer) Main issue with the SC64 is getting one. SummerCart64 $108, RTC, 64DD, built-in SNES emulator According to Wikipedia, only 10 disks were released for the 64DD, where 4 are Mario Artist variations, 1 is a dialup disk, 2 are expansion disks for Doshin the Giant and F-Zero X, so that leaves us with 3 unique games: Doshin the Giant (also on Gamecube), SimCity 64 and Japan Pro Golf Tour 64.
