Now that you have Krauser’s Fighting Knife, you may want to send your ol’ reliable Combat Knife to storage or sell it, as it can deal a lot more damage if you invest in its upgrades with the Merchant up the road.
For now, be sure to break the barrels where you start before heading onwards. When you get to the top of the ruin, use your binoculars to spy the entrance to the Sanctuary, and all the defenses the Saddler has placed in your way.
Down the path from the cliffside ruins you’ll meet the Merchant again, which is a good time to tune up your best weapons, repair your knife and body armor, and prepare for a long gauntlet of fighting. Luckily, you won’t have to go it alone.
