Whoa Paisan you nailed it. His improv comes from his heart and not his head. Every lick is a turn onto a different street not only in a single track, I’ve yet to find a repetition within his discography. VERY few can lay claim to that. You are fully justified in YOUR claim that he is a musical genius. Bravo Maestro, Bravo Jeff!

1:20 bass lick is the same as in his "hali gali" at 0:42, but little shorter. Don't feel like this comment is needed but I couldn't resist

@@TheAiket Yes, but that’s not a solo. And ofc, it wouldn’t make sense to improv everything on bass. It needs to hold down the groove first and foremost. That tune is awesome tho. I love everything he does basically. Which I cannot say about many bands or musicians.

You nailed the pronunciation Jeff. Thanks for the reaction. I love how Valeriy builds up this piano solo. Masterclass. And it’s so cool he doesn’t “step on” the fast bass run thing.

Thx, Jeff. The sun was the first tune from Valeriy I discovered. It stuck in my head for a week - and I ended up making a video with this as theme. Love the theme - and his synth solo is just beyond. Love your comments - again.

I felt a slight Jeff Lorber influence in there. He's really talented. I play a lot of instruments too, but have never even tried to meld them all into one composition. That chromatic bit in the piano solo was off the hook! Love this!

He recently did a remake of 'Sly' by Herbie Hancock where he plays all instruments. You HAVE to view that one, his musicianship left me speechless.

This man’s talent never ceases to amaze me. He’s almost like a modern Art Tatum on those keys.

Amazing as always. In my opinion, the other keyboardist at this level is Corey Henry especially his work with Snarky Puppy.
