@MattRobicheau I agree Matt, it's just not entertaining day after day. Trust me when I lived up north in Ontario, cutting firewood and hauling water everyday is life. But entertainment has to hold your interest. Just sayin. No offense meant, hopefully none taken.
@MattRobicheauКүн бұрын
@rickhewitt9529 hello Rick, it's definitely different. I cut me own wood while disabled ( bad back), hurts everyday but I'm alive feeling severely blessed, I think the drinks help.My grandfather was very wise with water. My water is gravity fed to the house, water above and septic below. A beer well, plus a shallow well in basement that was the fridge before fridges. Plus three other cattle wells and a brook above that feeding everything. Propane cook stove, hot water and rarely used dryer. Propane company mad because I'll using so little and they can't figure out why, lmao. Clothes rack dryer in house, clothes line inside and outside. Absolutely no offense nor negativity towards me nor taken as, I'm sorry if I came off that way. I'm still very much upset about the latest gun ban. And really trying to be polite with my words, but times I fail at that. I still keep my stick on the ice, we're all in this together lol.

Hi Joey, EdB here--enjoying your videos. Silly thought for today is the low pressure weather pattern effecting your stove burning could be exacerbated by the excellent sealing of your buildings causing a low pressure inside them as the hot air tries to exit the chimney causing a further low pressure and almost a back draft in said chimney. I noted Zena said her stove was burning well at her house--I doubt the air pressure so close by could be so different--her house may have more air leaks than your sheds. Best Regards, Eddie B.
@kingofobsolete4789Күн бұрын
we have dog doors in the building that are not sealed up so we have good air movement. xena chimney pipe was changed in the fall plus she is only burning small little fires because she does not need much heat. here we are trying to heat the buildings so the dogs are warm. once the air system changed at 3pm the stoves burned hot. this video is missing those 2 videos for some reason thansk
@eddiebedwell9579Күн бұрын
Hi again,thanks for your update on your dilemma of slow burning fires. I stand corrected. All good from down-under in the land of OZ. Cheers, Eddie B.

@@eddiebedwell9579 yes you guys will soon be enjoying nice summer days and the good life thansk
@eddiebedwell957916 сағат бұрын
@@kingofobsolete4789 indeed summer is here, today is 24C and tomorrow is 32C, Monday 41C, we also have a cool change after that with some rain in the forecast. We are lucky as we usually get evening sea breezes to cool things a bit where I live. Some odd weather patterns can bring hot air down from Broome and across the central Australian deserts to the southern states for a few days, then Antarctic winds can zoom up and cool things again--here in Victoria if you do not like the current weather "just wait 10 minutes" and it will likely change, so our weather is changeable and I like that. Regards to you and Zena, Eddie B.

Omg, your re-enacting the movie day after tomorrow. It's too cold and your wood is cold, I never have luck burning cold wood, I must bring my wood in the house the day before I burn it, to literally warm it up before I burn it. Whatever moisture is in the wood outside is frozen, frozen wood won't burn. The ash in the upper chamber acts as insulation and won't allow the upper chamber to heat up properly. Doesn't metal reflect heat and ash absorbs it? Never give up, I'll try my best to get you up and running and keep you warm. I'm learning too, living location, climate, weather conditions. Thanks

Frustrating about the 2 barrel stove. Seems as if when it does work it's great, until it doesn't. Could you add a full door of some sort to the top barrel and build the fire in it on low pressure days? Not remembering the physics on why the pressure impacts the boiling does the water boil faster if you burn it in the mircowave?
