The dressing room, the makeup, the harmonies, the song....goosebumps.

Still come back to this at times when life feels a bit too much, what a gift it is to be alive.

This has been in my favourites for years, and I listen to it every couple of weeks after a few drams. Sorry it's taken so long to show my appreciation. I remind myself of my dad when he had a few and the records he played. He was not a musician, but listening to his records of Calum Kennedy and Alistair Gillies and that ilke. Made me not only the man I am but, the Musician that I am. History and family do repeat them selves. x

Amazing. To just sit there in your dressing room, nothing fancy, just a voice and a guitar. It's astonishing.

And miss Inge Thompson all sorts of multitasking over there lol I think even if I had Vision I wouldn’t be able to apply make up and seeing and be chill at the same time. And science as we can’t multitask? That is awesome, you should be released that on your next album! The key change in tempo is freaking awesome! Also, Mr. Steven Polwart needs to sing more!

Also, this particular song makes me think of a friend of mine that just died. Her name was Debbie, she was a couple of months older than my mom. And one of the sweetest people I’ve ever known. Five years ago she lost her husband. He had had I want to say kidney disease because she had mentioned that he was going through dialysis and such. She was such a kind hearted woman. She was actually my provider. She helped me do things like cleaning and shopping trips and such. She wasn’t really supposed to but she made sure I got to the doctor when I needed to go, and encouraged me to do music. After her husband died, she told me she would literally drink 24 cans of beer just to sleep. She wasn’t our worker anymore when she passed, but she was a very kind person. She would sit with me and jam to your music and Runrig and even if she couldn’t understand the lyrics to the Gaelic songs she loved hearing them. She would show me some of her favorites which are some that you actually have mentioned in interview. She loved country music. It was very odd, before she was let go as our provider my sister has cancer so she needs help with some things too and so the person just comes out every day and works with us. Anyway, she would show me songs and tell me things. If I was excited about some thing, she would let me ramble. She knew that sometimes I communicate differently than a Nuro typical person yeah and it might take me a while to get there to the point of what I was trying to say, but she was patient. I love the Kia song is in by the way. But no it’s just really hit home I was doing some things and listening to KZbin. Because it’s pretty much describes her situation. As it probably does many others. She died November 5 of 2021.

I like her voice, somehow similar to Kate Rusby in tone and content and style. I am a great fan of Capercaillie and Runrig from over your southern border. Peter Turner, England, Peak District hinterland.

beautiful song and fabulous voice(s). personally I prefer the version on the album in a higher (?) key but that's not to knock this in any way. How the make-up was so deftly applied is another feat in itself haha. I was lucky enough to receive the album a few years ago as a present and I couldn't stop putting this on repeat. Sadly I think (hope) it's packed away safely for moving purposes currently but I must try and retrieve it very soon.
