Since 1952, the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Washington has produced a weekly televised Mass for those who are homebound. Our 30 minute Catholic Mass today is broadcast from the Basilica’s Crypt Church and is celebrated by priests from the Archdiocese of Washington and the Diocese of Arlington, featuring sacred liturgical music with a Cantor & Organist from the Choir of The Basilica. The Christmas Mass and the Easter Mass are special one-hour broadcasts celebrated annually by the bishops of the Archdiocese of Washington and the Diocese of Arlington.
Our mission is to bring the blessings of Jesus Christ’s presence and love, through The Sunday TV Mass, to the sick and those unable to leave their homes. I can tell that Father Raymond is so genuine, and down to earth. I’m glad to see this service has changed to a more humble approach lately. My apologies, I just want to be honest. I thought the services years ago (and the chorister and first lector) in here are beautiful and great, but I would rather have less extravagant and more genuine and humble approach.
