I’ve played D/C# accordion. If I were to buy a chromatic harmonica in that type of scale pattern would it be a D chromatic with the slide change to the C# or a C# with the slide change to a D? or, am I not understanding the mechanics of the chromatic? Now I am playing tremolo harmonica. Than you.

Hi Malarz, you can't buy C Sharo D chromatics. You have to have them made for you. I make them or rather I re-tune a C harmonica to C shape D or a D harmonica where the d sharp is tuned down... Get in touch with me if you are interested. Best, C

억만이 the difference is the Super 64X’s reedplates are twice as think as the Super 64. This thickness doubles volume making the Super 64X louder and better in many ways!

Hi Martin, I think you are asking what the difference is between the Hohner Super 64 and the Hohner Super 64X? The answer is the Hohner Super 64X has double the reed-plate thickness of the Super 64. This gives the Super 64X a louder sound or volume than the Super 64. The Super 64X is by far a much better harmonica for that reason. Louder and more responsive and easier to play by far! Highly recommended, if you are interested in one I can sell you a brand new one. ;) Cheers Martin!

@@CathalJohnsonHarmonicas I have the same model 64X and mine was perfect out of the box also. Never had any problems with mine and it is over 20 years old. Curious if the newer version will be as reliable. L personally prefer the look and gold lip plate compared to the newer one. Believe ours has double reeds on lower octave only where as the new version has all reeds doubled. Will have to check that out. The Sydel 64 is a piece of art but wow that price is crazy..... $2700... and I though the 64x I have was expensive when I paid $160. Before the new one was brought in the one I have had increased to around $650 which is crazy.

Once you go all the way up and down the four octaves with the Chrom. scale in C, repeat from C#, D, D# ... until you've done all the scales.
