@@julianaustin8650 apparently bowser wanted one thing in his life but never had was Love my guess is that from the first moment he saw her he quickly fell in love with her in the video games he randomly captures peach (for no reason let alone a good one) but in the movie it’s revealed that he had a crush on her for as long as he can remember but since bowser is a monstrous spike shelled hotheaded grouchy short tempered and super terrible at showing his love for the worlds most beautiful princess but surprisingly musical for expressing his love for her monster she doesn’t accept his love for her well who knows if it is true he really did had a crush on her because in the games he only captured peach just so he could take over the Mushroom Kingdom

Probably my favorite part about the movie is that they actually gave Peach a backbone instead of just getting kidnapped like every mainline Mario game. Like in other games including spin-offs like the rpg games and Smash bros she’s constantly shown with magical powers yet she never uses them in the mainline games and even though she doesn’t use them here, I’m just glad they made her a person who’s actually willing to fight for her kingdom instead of just being a damsel in distress.

Damn, if that last look Bowser gave Peach as she walked by doesn't scream obsessive yandere, I don't know what does! It made me cringe and squeal. He may come off goofy and lovestruck, but Bowser still tortured Toad to make Peach give in. Major props to this movie for balancing between goofy and actual evil villain. That's hard to do.
